i wonder if it would work with HDD that aren't powered, ( as in this case with the external power pack )

+Maxim Mee My HDD is quite old (70GB) so its power consumption is high. It was not working without external battery power. I am not sure if you put a low power disk or even SSD if you need additional power.

Hai there, thanks for the info man! so i try your method. im connecting my sd card to the otg and it works on my android. but when i connect my external hdd to the otg. my sd card no longer work. is there a problem on a otg? or the hard drive? sorry for my bad english :p

+Bogie Eryawan you MUST use this same OTG.not all OTG are the same.
