No autofocus. Usually on the Glidecam, I pick a focal distance I expect will be in the middle of the action. (Often I point the camera at the floor in front of me, and focus there.) In this instance, you can see that it's generally good, but when I move really close, like 1-2' away, it's out of focus.

haha very nice, but what I've noticed with the steady cam shots, it seems like a "lagging" shutter. the image stays behind a bit. some times see it and some times don't like in the video's of Devinsupertramp I can't see it. any idea why you have that? thanks, great video.

Yeah, that's in-camera audio. Normally I'd sync this with the feed from the DJ, but I liked hearing the crowd, and didn't want to spend hours tweaking when I'd rather get this clip online quickly for the bride and groom's friends to enjoy right away.

Nah, we work well together. 98% of the time, I'm not in her way. You can see I probably ruined 2 of her shots here, but that happens. I'm always conscious of where the photographer is—if I wasn't, then yeah, she'd hate me.

Often, when I'm not moving, I'm standing in front of a pillar, so I'm not blocking too many views, and I often park next to the photographer, so I'm not in her shots. (Although obviously I have to get in the way sometimes.)

Anything you upgrade to that isn't 10 years old will be a huge improvement. Even a $200 camcorder, or a mobile phone will be a step up.
