So I'm going on a liquid diet for the next couple of days to jump-start my weight loss (hopefully!) And this is my apartment....

I'm really sorry if you took my comment as being negative. I was just thinking to myself that you were slimming down nicely just not as fast as most of the people on here that have had the surgery. But everyone is different. PLUS I didn't know what weight you started at 135lbs is a fantastic loss! Sorry again about my comment. I'm a heavy girl that is trying to lose weight as well so I would only try to incourage you, I know how it feels to think someone is trying to put you down.

I am doing the 5 Day Pouch Test because I messed up after my WLS. Bad. So AllisonPacino pointed me towards the test and the first two days were liquids only, and they mean no or very low carbs. I did it! First day was easier.. 2nd day was a little tougher.. now I am on very soft foods with some rules, of course. I hope you have more great results.. you look fab, even tho it's very dark!

You're kidding right? She has lost WELL over 100 pounds in less than a year, that's fantastic! I think it's rude of you to say she isn't doing as well as others, every person is different and the rate at which they lose is different. I don't think you meant to sound rude but you should realize that it takes courage to share yourself like she does. You should be supportive not critical.

My surgery was done by Dr.Joya. I wouldn't say I'm not having as good results...it's that I had a lot more weight to lose than a lot of people here. I've lost 135lbs. I'm not really having issues with restriction...I mean, my portions are not large, I've just been able to eat whatever and that's the issue. Hopefully the liquid diet will help me get on track.

You look amazing ... I saw a tiny little waist a couple of times there when you were walking around the apartment! Love the apartment, too. Great to see you again. Point taken. It's probably a good idea to do more than 2 days. What I'll likely do is go from pure liquids to 2 protein shakes plus a small meal after 3 days and see how that goes. Doing liquids for a week is do-able but I feel like crap the whole time so it makes it hard to work, etc...

Seems like the 5 day pouch test is the YT jump start diet of choice. Let us know how is works. I haven't ruled it out but I am thinking its back to the fad diet way of thinking for me if I go there. Decisions decisions. Love the apt! Can hardly wait to see you in PA. Hugs! Donna:)

It takes your body at minimum 3 days to get into ketosis, the fat burning stage while you are on a VLCD. Perhaps it would be an idea to extend the liquid diet from two days to a week? Otherwise, you'll torture yourself for two days with little results.

Who did your surgery? It sounds like you are not having as good results as everyone else on here that has had the surgery. maybe you should go back in and re-do it? I don't know a whole lot about it though.

Cute apartment!!! Let us know how the liquid diet goes. I'm tempted to try that out but when I did it pre-op it was just so miserable. Have to forget those memories before I give it another whirl. :)

Thanks Dena! I take in between 60-90 grams/day. The last 2 days have been around 80 grams.
