Evan, inspiring talk. I like to get up, shave, and then do my maximum
number of pushups, or situps, (each on alternate days). I'm ready to take
on all challenges, including the ones that are not "exciting!"
The issue here is that sometimes temporarily you don't have enough
conditions to do what you love. So would be nice some advice for people
that need to do something they don't like, even thou is temporary
+Iuri Pina You have to make time. If a close friend or family member was in the hospital you'd go visit them and make time. The conditions will never be perfect. Make the time. #BTA86
Hi, Evan. You never cease to motivate me and this video is no exception. I
am in the production phase of my first very short film and oftentimes I
find myself having doubts because I never went to film school and I don't
have the "right" equipment. I don't even have a plan to make money from it.
It's just something I've always wanted to do. To compound matters, there's
absolutely no one in my life right now giving me any kind of moral support;
I live in Missouri (the "Show Me" state) and they're all waiting for the
results. So your videos, among others like them, are becoming an
environment for me to stay motivated. Thanks and keep up the fantastic
work!
From all of the people I know that have a strong work ethic, they all had
one thing in common: It was that they were forced, from a very early age,
to work long hours in their parents businesses whether it be a farm,
restaurants or factories and they FUCKING HATED IT! It seems that they
realised that working furiously hard doing their own thing is much easier
than working for Ma and/or Pa.
The first comment about having to love what you do is totally false in my
opinion. I know people who don't enjoy the work they do but they are
exceptionally good at it and successful, earning very high salaries and at
the top of their ladder etc. Pushing themselves to extremes on a daily
basis (requiring a hell of a lot of motivation) E.g. I know a VP of Goldman
who would often go for 24hrs at a time, and an IBM executive that would
start the day at 5am and still be answering emails till 11pm 6 days a week.
They had some good times obviously, but would never choose to be there in a
million years if they could, and they both got there from the bottom! I
think saying you have to love something to be motivated inspires
weakness/egotism to be honest. The majority of people in this world have
very limited, if ANY choice towards what they do for a living yet they find
motivation everyday, they're the true unsung heroes.
If you're not motivated it's because you don't want it badly enough, and if
that's the case go and do something else, stop repeating the same negative
cycles and wasting your life. There are 24hrs in a day, you need to get the
most out of them, all the time. It's productivity; doing your best with the
time that you have. That's all there is to it. Everyone knows what needs to
get done on their own journey, to reach their own goals. All these weekend
seminars, books, YouTube videos, "10 steps" it's all bullshit. Stop finding
excuses, stop whining, put a plan together and get it done.
+AndyWJay Totally agree! Whatever you have had success in becomes your passion. But you only get success when you apply yourself and work hard. Unless you get lucky....
+AndyWJay Cool - if you want to be a VP and work from 5am to 11pm 6 days a week and pretend that you have a life go for it! This isn't going to be the right channel for you. :) #BTA18

Will Smith On Work Ethic & Focus
Will Smith shares his philosophy with the world... worth playing twice.
People have got to realise that saying 80% of people dislike there jobs is
correct. Saying that the majority of people who put their best foot forward
and really GO for the job they want don't succeed is bullshit. Why do 80%
of people get jobs they hate? Because only 30-35% of people give their all
in finding what they want to do, and doing everything in their power to
achieve that.
To quote Jim Carrey, "My dad was the funniest guy I know, but he never got
into comedy because he truly didn't believe that was possible... for him.
He took a safe job as an accountant because he had a family to feed and
money that needed to be made, and a month into that he got made redundant
from his 'safe' job. I learned many things from my father, but most
prominently: You can fail at doing what you don't want, so why not take a
chance on doing what you love."
Anne - I don't give up on anything and I'm a positive person!! As for
perpetuating myths, it really depends on how the person reading my "point
of view" takes it. If it helps someone lift his/her spirits for even a
single day, it's worth mentioning to never give up and be positive!!
Rubbish to someone might make a lot of sense to someone else and vice
versa. As some golfer once said "The more I practice, the more I feel
lucky". Congrats on your success!:) What part of your success was GOOD LUCK?
This all applies to if 'yo in dis business. But he's not saying everyone in
the world has the chance. What is true is a lot comes from who can really
endure. Just like in war, it's often about who's left standing. That's the
lesson here in part However, with that, you also need to consider your
decision in what you're going to hustle for, what you're down right willing
to DIE doing. Lot of lack of commitment in the world today, but as well the
consideration of what you're omitting and what too.
@Fazeone1984 your reply is pretty understandable and you´re right so far,i
don´t say he has no qualities at all and everything is based on luck or
good parental background, he is a funny guy, he is half black and never
says no in public, very good potential to push him very far in the
mainstream entertainment industry. he is smart enough to know this very
well and is doin his job not more not less, workin´his ass off in hollywood
come on thats not the reality, think you know this by your own
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS IN ALL AREAS OF LIFE BUT THE
WORLD IS FULL OF NAY SAYERS AND NEGATIVE PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT HARD TO APPLY
THESE CONCEPTS ON A REGULAR BASIS. SO I CHALLENGE US WHO BELIEVE TO CONNECT
WITH ONE ANOTHER...MAYBE WE CAN'T CHANGE THE WHOLE WORLD BUT WE CAN AT
LEAST CHANGE OUR WORLD. SO IF ANYBODY READING THIS IS INTERESTED IN KEEPING
THE MOMENTUM YOU MIGHT BE FEELING RIGHT NOW. HMU 313-717-5852. MONEY TRAIN
IS COMING. ALL ABOARD. NETWORKING MASTER MINDS STAND UP
I still contend that some people try hard and don't succeed. Such broad
statements as yours have the potential to do great harm because they serve
to perpetuate myths that lead to discrimination. The corollary to your
statement is that those who succeed try hard - not always the case - some
have greater chances for success than others. I agree that sitting around
doing nothing is unlikely to achieve success but there are plenty who don't
succeed despoite their best efforts
Hello there!I actually have been earning an income online now aided by the
new PanCashful Secrets. It is a pretty simple way to earn money online, and
the best thing about it is that it is newbie friendly. It shows you some
really good techniques. Pay bills, buy presents for family, and start
paying down that debt now! Just google PanCashful Secrets and figure out
steps to start making dollars right away.Just google "PanCashful Secrets"
to find out more.
I always see videos of an athlete or actor or musician giving advice about
work. It's a lot easier to be passionate about playing a game for millions
of dollars than working normal job where most people make crap wages. Most
people will not be able to do what they are passionate about for a living.
For the jobs that are available we spend half of our lives working and 80%+
of people dislike their jobs. It's just sad, I don't want to live that way.
Izaak247 - That's the point. The thought is to NEVER give up. If you have
failed, it means you haven't tried enough. Lift yourself up and dust
yourself. It's not just about hard work. It's about BELIEVING in your goals
and yourself. It's about sacrificing few pleasures and to plainly focus to
achieve your goals. WORK HARD, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, LIFT YOURSELF UP
EVERYTIME YOU FALL AND YOU'LL GET TO YOUR GOAL.
U cant be someone just like that.. you cant just decide.. not everyone can
become a basketball player, football player... u decide and work so hard to
be a someone at the end of the road someone tell u.. sorry u just aint good
enough! there ends your life! your dreams! u focused so much! and all
ended... a story of a friend
This bloody video is nothing short of insulting. My name is Al, and I am a
chemist. I spent my whole working life as a scientist in high-tech
industries. What has this guy done ? Life is all about values, you don't
get rich being conscientious. Bullshit pays much more, the system runs on
it and this guy is part of it.
I think if u try your best that IS the success. U might not get rich being
a musician but if you're remembered for what u contributed to the artform,
that's a greater success than having ten number-one singles and no one
really remembering u as an artist outside of the fact that u had hits years
ago.
...tom cruise in brown, come on guys it´s hard to take this joker seriously
in general, he had so much luck in his career so it is pretty easy for him
to talk this strictly self-convinced way, his parents were teacher and
lawyer so not a kid comin from the gutter or something, should be noticed...
@Seidoc Success = Hard work + Talent! If you don't have any talent you
won't succeed no matter how hard you try, and hard workers in factories in
Bangladesh can't use their REAL talents because the only option they have
is to work at a factory, in an area where they're not necessarily talented.
@TheScorpio4lyfe Actually 2 + 2 equals whatever you want. Those are symbols
and if you look at basis of mathematics it's all about symbol manipulation.
We only choose to try to base it in reality. 2 doesn't exist outside of the
domain of mathematics, even though we map it to objects.
after the first word, nothing else you say is read by anyone of substance.
you shot yourself in the foot at the beginning. until you realize that
someone's belief is more powerful than "actions" you'll never convince
anyone of anything, nor get them on your side.
@Seidoc That's very true... but even more than Will Smith, I look up to
people like Angelina (and the thousands of others like her who aren't
famous) who try to bring awareness to these issues, the startling poverty
divide in our world.. and try to rectify it
@TheScorpio4lyfe and yet most successful people say the very same thing as
him. People like you that decide to be victims of the world will always be
angry when others say that they won't allow that to happen, if they want to
be successful, they will be!!
@The4LA2Baker0 I'd like to see you be successful trying to do what those
guys do, YOU CAN'T! i think there's a bit of talent involved, at least
talent to entertain, to pose, to look good, whatever... There's always
talent involved with successful people
ok mr narcissistic, arrogant mr devil worshiper we got your point. Will how
was it that you got to planet earth, wait never mind we already know you
know everything pretty much you think you're a god. Did I get that right.
Well, yes.
Anne - I was talking about working hard to come up in life. Obviously,
there are somethings like cancer for which what i said does not apply. Two
different things!! Sorry about your friend though.
The sad thing is for me, when he says 'I'm going to succeed or die' that's
true for me, though it's more suicide (giving up) or success. You sacrifice
so much that if you fail, you have nothing.
How to Learn and Develop a Hard Work Ethic - Mike Germano
In Chapter 2 of 20 in his 2013 Capture Your Flag interview, Carrot Creative social media agency CEO Mike Germano answers "Where Did You Learn Your Work ...
Appreciate the comments. "Where did you learn your work ethic?" is a
question I'm asking all the Capture Your Flag interviewees this year and as
you can see the responses differ. It is my hope that collectively you can
find comparing and contrasting these experiences to your own and to each
other useful in thinking through different ways people learn and develop
the way they approach their work. Keep the comments coming! Appreciate your
feedback.
Sorry to say, but you're inaccurate, Mr. Cardone.
To get into the 1 percent of our history of mankind, you have to have
complete integrity.
You really think Jesus or Buddha cared about worth ethic? They were known,
like Abraham Lincoln, for their honesty. Integrity in all that they do.
For example, keeping their words, being patient, providing of utmost
quality, seeing only the best in people, bringing joy, healing others with
their presence or speech, being fair and just (equality and justice), being
an inspiration, etc.
Integrity, not mindless activities or keeping busy for the sake of it. How
is making more and more money to build bigger and bigger mansions bring joy
or healing others? It doesn't. That's called greed. Use that money for
charity or build an educational system or save the environment, etc.
No one is going to deal with you in the long run if you're not a person of
full integrity. Even you wouldn't deal with yourself, meaning, suicide,
drugs, alcohol, etc.
Integrity has the utmost value, more than gold, more than money, more than
fame. What's good to work all the time and make tons of money, if no one
respects you because you lie, steal, cheat, bad mouth others, run over
others, etc? Think about it.
To what you said about integrity apply work ethic and you can be a legendary human being... but work ethics are vital to live a great life.. don't choose one over the other CHOOSE BOTH!

How to improve your work ethic for beginners
Hello my beautiful friends! Sorry I kind of rambled but I just wanted to share a little bit about improving your work ethic for those of you starting out. Do you like ...
I really needed to hear this advice. I am have historically been an all or
nothing person...and after a while of trying to do it all...I'd crash and
burn. Thanks for sharing.
