good video, could do without the ending: "We spend Billions on missiles, weapons research, wars, and expanding greedy empires." I think it is good that my country (the US) spends hundreds of Billions on missiles and weapons. The Fed. gov't is supposed to protect it's people, I don't expect people to just be peaceful and loving, would be nice, but not realistic! Leave the people with their money, so then we could find a cure, because OBVIOUSLY our gov't is not interested in a cure, or even a decent amount of FUNDING !!

My point was that we could spend a tiny fraction of that budget whilst barley compromising on safety. Also in the long run, curing this disease would save the government money, giving them more to blow the world up. In the UK the annual drain on the economy of sufferers with M.E. is close to 2 billion, with people who are ill turning to the government for sickness benefits, medical services etc.  so i imagine it is somewhat higher in the US, curing, or giving information to prevent the disease would save money in the long run. Also We are the most incredible species on earth, because we have choice and free will.I dont think people are greedy or aggressive by nature either, quite the opposite, in a crisis like a flood or earthquake, a humans natural response will be to co-operate and help his fellow human. When we see suffering it is instinctive to feel sad and want to help. It may not be realistic to seek peace, but think about the things we have done in the past 200 years, discovering electricity, flight, space travel, sending images sounds and informations across the world in split seconds...Were any of those things realistic? We are quite incredible, and so i don't think that it's a far cry to say that we could achieve a world in which we live harmoniously, as long as we can free ourselves from the "that's just the way thing are" mentality.

Yeah Ren. Life sucks with CFS. The only positive thing is the very distant hope that a cure is just around the corner.

i think the most positive thing about this illness, is once we find our cure, we will have been given a new appriciation and perspective on life and health that many others wouldnt have. I know for a fact that once i am better, i am going to live the hell out of my life :)

+Raymond Gilmour I've almost recovered using just the OHC online resources, in addition to some local help from CBT, counselling, and other practioners who aren't specialists in ME/CFS. I think essentially you have to become your own therapist. Educate yourself about your illness, figure out what your triggers & enabling factors are, then start looking after yourself better. It's a long road for most, myself included, but you'll be stronger for it. Good luck!
