A question of alcoholic curiosity: What percent ABV was the vodka that you sent through the filter? I wonder because if it was 40% alcohol by volume and you got nearly the same volume out that you put in, then the alcolhol was not entirely removed, or even mostly so for that mater.

i think that racism, today, is mostly driven by the media, political individuals and philosophies, obsolete institutional systems, and most importantly ignorance. When you think about it, most humans are rational thinkers. By nature, we aren't "programmed" to discriminate. No, but we are "programmed" to follow a leader, idolize celebrities and especially fear ostracism. Race was not created as a function of in/out groups, by a signifier of it. It was a to tell if someone was part of an out group more readily, just like clothing or language was used. Then because someone was more easily defined as part of an "out" group, it was easier to bypass your moral compass that you use when interacting with members of your "in" group. Skin color didn't cause slavery, people of same skin color (including blacks) have been enslaving each other for millenia.
