I am in agreeance with ya on The gymnast! To be honest I am not a big fan
of the fruititarian diet for the reason of getting all the nutrients. He
follows an 80-10-10 diet, so it's 80% fruit, 10% grains/beans and 10%
veggies. The 10% would be where he gets the protein. Good luck if you give
it a go, love to hear your thoughts if you get started on it!
I have actually been looking into being a fruitatrian, but how would I get
my protein in? I'm trying to lose weight. & that one Korean gymnast....ooh
girl...I couldn't do what she's doing! Props to her lol.

For all the gay Olympians that are openly gay, kudos for them.I hope that
they will all be judged equally and fairly on their athletic
abilities. However, those that, for what ever reason, choose to keep their
sexual orientation privet, should not feel pressured to reveal
themselves.Just because they are not openly gay, does not mean that they are
not proud to be gay. Some people are just more privet then others. Some
simply may feel that their sexual orientation is nobody else's business.God
bless.
dont want to brag or something dint really won any thing in international

but happy am getting what i dreamed of since kid
I totally understand what your trying to say, and i totally get the
frustration of not having as many out male athletes, but please do make the
assumption that it is easier to be a gay female. I was called a dyke almost
ever day of highschool. Someone spray painted on my locker. One guy offered
to "rape me straight". Male or female being gay is not easy. Homophobia is
directed differently at men than at women. Men I think tend to get more
physical violence but women get sexual violence.
it is sad that only 21 of them are not afraid to come out. and ever sadder
when only 3 gay males are out. It is really disturbing that sport is still
viewed as large a " masculine" thing which prevents a lot of gay male
athletes from coming out. I wish to see the day when sport is just sport. I
am still glad that these 21 beautiful individuals are proud of who they
are, I just wish more could take the same stand.
There are many lesbians that play masculine games, here in Argentina there
are a lot of lesbians in hockey ( i don't know how many lesbians are in the
Las Leonas Team, but I'm sure there is some ). Odd not to see gays in more
"manly" sports ( yes, stereotype and blah, but this example show the case).
There seems a lack of femme lesbians and macho gays, maybe i'm brutally
wrong, you tell me.
Perhaps he feels that it is nobody's business whether he is gay or
straight. We should not stereo type people because of the way they
look, talk,or their mannerisms.I have had people assume that I am
stupid, because I can not read, write,or spell very fast or well. When in
fact,I am dyslexic,(Thank God for spell checkers.).So please do not stereo
type,it can be very hurtful.God bless.*u*
Go girls! I didn't know my country's (ladies) field hockey team had
multiple gays :D. Too bad there are only 3 out guys (Matthew Mitcham, drool
:P). Too funny (or rather, sad actually) that Grindr overloaded when
Olympic teams arrived in London. Hopefully more and more
Olympians/sportspersons will feel comfortable to come out in the future.
I do not mean to stereotype... in fact, he's not exactly stereotypical. I
too hate stereotyped and hate judgements made about me. There just have
been questions on his sexuality for a while and I was more hoping he was
gay... hence why I called dibs. I agree with you though, thank fuck for
spell checkers... :)
Yay for Matthew Mitcham! Fellow gay Aussie here. :) Btw, I've been meaning
to ask you ever since I followed your vlogs (which are amazing, kudos to
you guys), what is the music piece in the beginning of your recent vids?
Sounds like a nice piano piece and I would really like to learn it. Thanks
in advance.
some other soccer players who i think could possibly be gay: Sweden: Nilla
Fischer, Caroline Seger, Lotta Schelin USA: Abby Wambach Canada: Christine
Sinclair,Erin McLeod,Melissa Tancredi,Diana Matheson and of course Sam
Stosur (Australian Tennis Player) and Kirsten Flipkens (Belgian Tennis
Player)
This makes me feel so good! Things have changed so much in my lifetime. I
quit HS hockey in late 70's due to the homophobic BS from team & coach (not
directed towards me). I had NO gay role models in sports or otherwise. The
younger gens are doing so much better! better days...

You would think that in this day in age of all the athletes all over the
world participating this year there would be more than 21 out & proud.
Don't even get me started w/ there only being 3 men in that group.
Ridiculous. All the more reason why we need the Gay Games.
No way. It's more difficult for women to come out because females don't
welcome them with open arms when they do. When men come out, it's as if
they inherent all of female society as best friends. Also, many female
athletes are gay, it's just that simple.
...without LOVE no LIFE ...for EVERYONE ...LET THE OLYMPIC GAMES CONTINUE
...WITH LOVE & PEACE & RESPECT ...CHANGE THE WORLD ...share mother-nature
there is enough food and money ...born to be proud of myself THE WAY I'M

I think it's amazing that there are so many out athletes but I couldn't
help notice the amount of out male athletes! I guess she's right in stating
that it's easier and more acceptable for a woman to be out than it is for a
man.
The problem is once you are out it can really effect the judging from
countries that are homophobic and it can outshine your personal
goals...Thats why its important that we give a huge round of applause to
those that are out.
Please don't stereo-type.There are gay NFL player, and heterosexual male
professional ballet dancers. Also, many heterosexual NFL player take ballet
lessons to improve their balance and coordination. *u*. God bless.
My Best Freind is Lesbian, New York City the greatest place in the world
occassionally you going to get your bigots, but she's strong and Kelly if
you watching this and you see this Comment I love you baby girl
Whilst it is a shame that so few Olympic athletes feel able to be open
about their sexuality I think it is even more of a shame, though it is
often ignored, that there are zero transgender athletes competing.
It would be wonderful to know exactly how many LGBT athletes that there are
(in and out of the closet) I'm sure that number might be triple at least,
wouldn't you say? Thanks for the wonderful video! HUGS!
surprise...surprise....its mostly Lesbians that are OUT in the Games
LOL....its more easy for them then the Guys I think.... I been watching the
Olympics been great to see the Americans Kick Ass
Thank you for this video. I had the same idea to look up GLBT-athletes this
weekend for me to root for and followed Matthew Mitcham's Twitter. Now I've
got the full list :-) They make me proud!
21 is not a big number of out LGBT athletes, but at least it's a growing
number :). It's a shame that so many athletes have to hide their sexuality
just to be able to get to the olympics
Awesome! Also the lesbian kiss clip (from a British soap called Brookside)
that flashed up during the opening ceremony - for many countries this was
the first gay kiss shown on TV! :D
Lisa Raymond is a freaking LEGEND!! Not only in the world of tennis but as
an LGBT athlete of course! She is one of the most successful doubles
players of all-time and is a class act.
I love Matthew Mitcham he kinda helped me growing up, seeing him winning
gold in Beijing in 2008 and that he was openly gay, great role model. Hope
get can get gold again.
