Don't they hook you up to a heart monitor though? Even if you couldn't
speak but you felt the excruciating pain wouldn't it make your heart beat
faster and then they might realize something is not right.

+jpdst29 You're right. That's the first line detection mechanism, which clearly demonstrates that the health care professionals were ignorant and didn't check heart rate throughout the procedure.
