Can I offer some friendly advice? From the look of the lighting I'm guessing that you're facing an open window. You really shouldn't do that, it washes out your face and makes it very difficult to see. Filming in a evenly lit room at night would probably get the best results on a low budget. Or at least closing the blinds. Also, your footage looks a little jumpy. While editing, you probably just need to de-interlace your footage before rendering and exporting it. Hope this helps a bit!

THANK YOU so much..... for the well wishes AND all the advice. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that for me. Yeah, right now, editing in HD, the HIGHEST I can do is 720p..... anything else, looks no different AND 720 takes this laptop 8-10 hours on average to render. Its horrific. HAHAHA I will do an unboxing video when I get my new lappie, and show this old beast on cam too. HAHAHAHA

Ooo, Sony Vegas is great editing program! :D Nice choice! And those computer specs sound pretty damn good too! Just make sure that you're exporting your videos in 1920x1080! I made the mistake of filming in HD but exporting in SD in my rookie days. ^-^" Took me weeks to figure out why I was filming in HD but my final project wouldn't be higher than 480p lol. In any case, congrats on the baby. and I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy! :)

I am currently using sony vegas pro 13, but the program is HUGE on this crappy laptop and takes most of the memory up! hahaha  This lappie is a 6gb 250 GB hard drive with a duo core processor! HAHAHA  My new one is a Lenovo 8gig 1TB with 5400 RPM and 1920x1080 and integrated camera. It also has a 5th gen i5 5200U processor so I am crossing everything that this upgrade will help me and my video quality!!!! HAHAHA  My husband assures me that ANYTHING at this point is better than this dinosaur I am currently using. LOL

+The Kneady Homesteader 2009?? Yikes. XD That new laptop should definitely help, especially if it has a built-in webcam. What editing program do you use? That could also be a big issue, crappy ones like Windows Movie Maker will make any video look like garbage.

+Pregolover100 THANK YOU! I tried filming at night, my logitech dinosaur of a webcam will get really really grainy!my husband just ordered me a new laptop. i am on one i bought in 2009. I think a combo of old computer, old webcam, slow processor and not being able to render my vids properly is just giving me horrible quality! i am either way to dark where you cant see me, or i look like casper the friendly ghost! LOL i dont know what de-interlacing is. HAHAHA i am lucky i can edit a video together and get it uploaded at all! LOL!!!!! Lets hope my new laptop gives me much better results! :D
