Podiatric medicine is a branch of medicine devoted to the study of diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity.
Dr. Emily and Jeremy Cook are brilliant teachers and are the residency
directors of the Mt. Auburn Podiatry Residency program in Cambridge, MA
which is affiliated with Harvard University school of Medicine. I rotated
through the program as a student and was blown away by the teaching,
surgical exposure, and resources that the program provides. Emily is the
blond haired physician and her husband Jeremy has the short brown hair.
Both speak in the "doctor" portion of this video. Hope I match here.
This is a terrific video. Even though the medical field has traditionally
been dominated by men, I think women can perhaps be even better doctors
than men are. It suits them much better. That is why my one gripe about
this video is that it has boys that want to be doctors. Just as women
usually shouldn't be in the military, men usually shouldn't be doctors.
What a great video! I have been told by so many people that choosing a
surgical specialty is out of discussion for a woman, but this video helped
me gain more confidence! I love working with my hands and using medical
equipment.
Wow. This was awesome! I'm a sophomore in HS and want to be a surgeon but
was worried about family and such. Many said I can't do it, but after
watching this, I'm excited to prove them wrong! Thanks for putting this up!
