I used Adobe InDesign. You could use any of their design programs, even Photoshop, or really any cheaper program that allows you to create "layers". That's the key.

When was your surgery?!? I'm ~8 weeks post-op, and I'm allowed MAXIMUM of only 2 ounces of food per meal and NO potatoes nor other carbs. Did your surgeon give you any printed instructions to follow? Sounds like you could seriously benefit from a comprehensive and clear set of instructions. Best wishes to you on your journey!

+Scott Bennett Yeah man, I got a printed pamphlet and instructions of 4-5 oz of pureed food at this time. He said I was doing well, but the only thing that really kills me is the general feeling of fullness. I feel like an idiot with it, but today I kinda could eye manage it...IE just eat what my eyes thought was enough, and it was ok :) I'm feeling much better now that I've started eating more foods and less liquids. I am 45 and I come from parents who made us clean our plates generation, I have to a super small plate to break myself from that, which will be good for after my surgery

I'm gonna have to do something. Shortly after posting this video, I had lunch with friends and overate again on potato salad. Not as bad but painful again. The signs that I'm full are not so obvious.

I'm not a year out yet (7.5 months) but I'm perimenopausal & I'm not sure if it's perimenopause or the surgery but I've had bad hormone problems & I missed my period 2 months in a row - then had one and I was due on Monday (but it feels like I'm getting it). anyway this past weekend was really bad for me as well. Just wanted to eat even when I wasn't hungry. When I missed those 2 periods I PMSd for almost the WHOLE time. It sucked. Unfortunately-IDK what to tell you how to handle it. Connie

Dude. I'm struggling with the same thing. I've been watching your videos for a while. I live in SoCal and I think I work in a similar field (sounds like social work from what you've referenced). Anyway! Yes. I'm struggling soooo much with anxiety and stress and emotional eating. I did the sleeve two years ago and the anxious eating has gotten to the point where it's just constant (doing grad school and working full time doesn't help). Would love to hear more detail about your tricks!

OMG, I just went through the same thing this weekend, I just wanted to eat everything in sight. I also get very moody and anxious before I get my period. Even though I ate way better and way less than I would have pre lapband, I at more than I should now. I also started couch to 5k today because I know that running is good for my anxiety, I feel like it blows it away! I don't have any answers but I can totally relate!

Great Vid. This is what I was looking for. I am in the Banana Girl Challenge Right now and having a hard time with this problem. I am a grandmother not 80... LOL. Only 50. I am active, Yet having a hard time with 3,000 calories. I have lost over 150 pounds on a no sugar, no starch, high protein diet of less then 1,200 calories. Now raw at 3,000 and I have gained, ugg. I only have about 20 pounds to loose max to get to my perfect weight. I had a hard attach when I got on the scale!

Hi Andrew! Thank you for this intelligent and honest explanation. My partner, like you, has a slow metabolism; he defies the laws of biochemistry. I would starve to death on what he eats, while he struggles to lose weight. I used to think he must be cheating on his diet, but I have witnessed, while in his company, how little and infrequently he needs to eat. But although I am an active 5'4" woman weighing 108 pounds, I certainly don't need anywhere near 3000 calories.

That is how I lost all my weight too. Now.... That is how I think I gain. I have to go with my gut instead of following the crowd. Time will tell. I seem to maintain at 2,000 calorie. Maybe 1,500 to 1,8000 will be good for weight loss on raw. Raw is a whole new ball game for me. So still figuring it all out. I work out 30-60 min. on Elliptical and weight train 2-3 times a week. I do feel that low fat Vegan is the way to go. Just have to figure it all out.

Andrew, I do not see the link for your book in the description box. very interesting Andrew. What you are saying makes sense. But even though i don't know how to explain it, it really really does seem like you can eat more calories if you eat a low protein/low fat diet (low sodium), than any "traditional" diet high in fat and protein :)

Another reason it would work for some people would be that always having carbohydrates to burn would regulate genes involved in fat production.
