There are ways of knowing early. Most common is the "nub theory" Also known as "The angle of the dangle". Between the legs of the fetus is a genital tuberal, if its sticking up at a 30 degree angle or there abouts it is said to be a boy but if its more horizontal and not really sticking up, its said to be a girl. Its actually very accurate. There are also a few blood tests out there that look for fetal DNA in the mothers blood stream (These tests were originally used for determining chromosomal abnormalities such as downs syndrome) tests such as MaterniT21, Panorama, Harmony ETC (which are usually offered to mothers of advanced maternal age or who are otherwise at risk for genetic birth defects) now include the option of finding out the baby's sex. This is done by looking for the presense of the y chromosome within the fetal DNA and can be done as soon as 9-10 weeks gestation. It is about 95% accurate when given a female result and about 99.5% accurate when given a male result.  So its very possible they already knew the gender when they had this ultrasound.. or found out soon after and updated the title (or posted this after finding out).. just saying - we can't just assume..

I hate these tests, the results all look the same to me. I don't know if it is because we get to view it on video or what. Towards the top it looks like a girl, towards the bottom it looks like a boy. I wish there was a better way to determine the result. It will be interesting to see what the ultrasound reveals.

nice video what camera did you use? for your caution, intelligendr does not work and they are going through a lawsuit now. the only way to tell gender is by blood plasma. Look at Jack or Jill on Amazon or google. as little as 7 weeks and it looks for the Y chromosome

Thats definetly a boy result...but for me when I tested for both my kids when I was pregnant with my son I got a girl result, and with my daughter I tested and I got a boy result. LOL. So I always go opposite of what this test tells me.

My 1st result looked exactly like that during my last pregnancy (light green on top and dark green on the bottom). We had a girl. I used the test again this pregnancy and it came out very dark green. We shall see...

I have seen so many videos of this brand of test, and they all seem to be inaccurate and really just very interpretation-sensitive. Like horoscopes are as applicable to everyone no matter what date of birth (sign).

To read the test you are suppose to look at the pee/liquid that is close to the sticker and compare. Many people read the bottom of the test to read the results which is not correct. I say girl!

If you look on their site at the sample results yours looks like a girl result because even though it is dark on the bottom the upper part is light.

you should look for She or He and gendermake on Amazon. they are exactly the same products using the same technology but for only half the price.

I did it with my youngest and I got a girl result, but he is a boy, so it was wrong for me. Looks dark though for you so I'm saying boy.

I am thinking girl, it looks more orangey to me. Are you hoping for one or the other? (I know they will be loved no matter what lol).

Initially it looks like a boy, but if you say that you read the test by the very top layer, then it's likely a girl :)

Closer to the top it looked orange and the bottom was dark. That is confusing. Lol we shall see if it is right soon :)

It looks split...the top looks like a Girl result, but the bottom looks like a Boy result! Interesting!!!

I got one at baby r us. It did not work. We thought it was a girl, but turns out we are having a boy.

I tried this with my first pregnancy , I was 10 weeks pregnant and I was soo excited since it was my first bby. well the test came back to be a boy ! well six months later I had a wonderful little boy... so yes they are accurate , I am now 8 weeks pregnant again my little boy is now 2 and I cant wait to try this again...

intelligender lol that test is a joke. Look up some scientific data on thse tests and they are proven to be accurate. The only accurate and approved methods by scientist and medical professionals is a plasma DNA test (look up Jack and Jill on Amazon) or a ultrasound at 20 plus weeks.

Send a picture in to Intelligender and they will interpret the results for you. Was the liquid green? Because in some of the pictures the liquid looks orange with green sediment at the bottom. My girl result with my daughter did the same thing. =]

I looks like a boy but I've seen many videos where they end up having a boy and many that end up having a girl!!! I took one @ 8 weeks and I was soo orange, then one @ 10 weeks it was very green! But they are fun regardless :)

All of you are downing the inteligender when so far it's been right for everyone & she did have a boy !!what is making you think it was wrong for her !? She clearly had a boy ! 

next you should do the Ring gender test. its an old wives tale gender prediction. google it. I love seeing those. that deff said boy so we shall see. take care

i had gotten one of those as well, and it told me i was going to have a boy but i was pregnant with my 2nd girls she was born on aug 18 2012

People say when you are in the later months of the pregnancy the belly will be tilted down if it's a boy & tilted up if it's a girl!

So intelligender says boy and you're actually having a girl? lol think I'll say my $44.00 that it costs at Walgreens!

Hoping its a girl :) They are so much fun too :) But yea it would be nice to have the stuff already but it would be fun to get new stuff too :) Everytime I said I didn't have something I would get it the next week but my pregnancy with Ella my first trimester I had nausea and my third trimester I developed high blood pressure so I didn't have a very easy pregnancy but it wasn't bad could have been worse probably. I didn't want meat at all while I was pregnant with Ella. Grosed me out!

My sister has hypothyroidism, but hers is underactive, she wasn't born with a thyroid at all, so she's had to take medicine everyday since she was born to help her grow. They found out she had it when she had her heel prick test when she was a baby. Ive never heard of people getting it suddenly, and getting it only in pregnancy! beings as its the growth horome i thought it was to do with growing LOL. Congrats to you all anyways (o:

@cocotreee Everyone thinks we're so tall! It's funny because neither of us are lol!! I'm 5'6'' and Layton is 5'11''! However, EVERYONE on both sides of our families (except my mom) are all SUPER tall. My oldest brother is 6'5'' and both mine and Layton's sisters and his mom are 5'11'' and both our dads are 6'2''. So Tripp takes after them lol!

About the bump between the legs, they all have a bump to begin with and it either turns to a girl part or boy part. I think if it is sticking UP it's a boy and down a girl. You'd have to look it up I can't remember. lol

Congrats!!!! I have a hypo thyroid too. Did you have and complications with it after you gave birth with Tripp? I am 21 weeks post pardom and the thyroid is now overactive.

another clue that it might possibly be a boy is that you are having an easy pregnancy so far. a lot of times for some reason women seem to have worse symptoms with girls.

So if you dont mind my asking: what WAS your nursery going to be if Declan was a girl? you said it was original and youd never seen it?

I didn't have any problems, I just had to get my blood drawn a lot and change my medicine often until we figured out the right dosage.
