Bart, Nice video of this beautiful area of Texas. I wanted to let you know about the FAA regulations for flying Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in the National Airspace Sector (NAS). Please go to this link and look it over, //www.faa.gov/uas/publications/model_aircraft_operators/. You will notice a very direct statement in this webpage, "(1) the aircraft is flown strictly for hobby or recreational use," I noticed that you were asked to fly at a wedding for compensation. This is currently not allowed without prior FAA authorization. The fines for not following this process are upwards of 50K. Just wanted to let you know since you obviously share the same desire of integrating this amazing technology as I do.

Yeah, I'm aware of it.  But I thought it was 10K, not 50K.  That's what the guy in Virginia got before it was thrown out.  Quite frankly, I don't think the FAA will be fining anyone else before that appeal is heard.  They just keep sending out those "cease and desist" letters, which a lot of people are throwing in the garbage can.  Unfortunately, the corporate execs at the TV station I work for seem to think that fines are still possible, so they have barred anyone from using drone footage on the air, which is why I will probably end up selling mine on Craiglist in a few weeks.  Oh, and no, I wasn't really serious about doing that wedding gig, at least not for money, in case you're actually with the FAA.

Seth, excellent question.  Believe it or not, no stabilization software needed.  The new Phantom model comes with a built-in "gimbal" that covers all three axis.  Camera can wobble all over the place, but the camera stays level.  Almost like having a tripod 200 feet up.  :)  You should watch the company's demo video for an better illustration of that.

Well you did an excellent job of holding the cell and filming because there was little movement. I was born and raised in Corpus until I moved away in '86. Though it was awful to see how erratic she was driving, to see the scenery and here the names of the streets and such was a gift for me! You possibly saved lives for what you did, thank you ~Lynzie

Thank you. The driver has history of opiate addiction. This was shot with my Samsung S5 cell. I had to be extra careful driving with one hand and keeping an eye out all mirrors to make sure I was clear of other vehicles. I didn't follow the driver very closely because they may have a firearm. We live in Texas and everyone carries, legal or not.

The officer skipped through the video on my phone and took down my information. I left after because I had an appointment. The officer called me about 30 minutes later looking for the badge that she says she had. I handed it to her near the end of the video.

@MrEarthboundKing Thanks. I hear comments about the Interchanges in Texas very often, but you are the first in a while. May I interest you in the king of them all? Watch some of my Houston, Texas videos. The interchanges in Houston make 80% of the non Houston native drivers confused, not to mention 50% of Houstonians are clueless to navigating. Search US-59 Houston, my newest and more detailed video should be the second in the search, followed by my previous video, 1st and not as much detailed.

Nice...How did you like the wind blowing?, It's always windy here! Anywho, the Harbor Bridge pre-1998 was lighted with sodium pressure lights about 10-15ft apart, also TXDOT townhall (present) showed us the the crumbling architecture-a major rust bucket under the paint. The project is ccharborbridgeproject-com, and the bayfront (Shorline Blvd) will no longer be the same seen here: destinationbayfront-org, and Corpus Christi Schlitterbahn....aswell as many other projects I got to keep up

The beginning totally was Colorado, it was thru Glenwood canyon, I think that's just his opening segment for all his videos, I drive that highway about 4 times a year, just got a ticket in there about 3 months ago too

@HyperActive7 In my opinion I think everything is well signed, but what i think confuses many people is the shear number of signs on Texas roadways. Many are often missed due to this.
