The Gibbs Quadski is the first production fast amphibian from Gibbs Sports Amphibians. Capable of 45 mph whether it's on land or water, the Quadski can ...
Learn to transition from road to water better so You don't have to use
editing to transition. It could be taking 10 mins for all We know ? Also
the driving is boring let someone drive it who can make it look fun.
Bud, the transitions in the video are bad because of my poor editing skills (and I was using Windows Moviemaker - crap program). The transition is about four seconds, either way. Check out this video. It's better. //youtu.be/Ap4vhCeFmIY
Johnboy, sure, you can get an ATV, personal watercraft, trailer and a decent truck to pull them with for Quadski money. But that misses the point. Those two vehicles cannot do what the Quadski can do.
this is HUGE!!...a different body style--something more utility oriented to
haul stuff--god those are cool...they could really make life easier for
folks that need something like that for their work. . .wonder how much
weight they will pack?
+B Laviolette thanks! You bet I checked out the fast amphibian website-looked at every model and just drooled--such cool technology--like something out of sci-fi..I cant imagine the expense of building any of them in limited numbers--but given time Im sure their orders will increase as people around the world notice these machines and apply their amazing next level capabilities to their particular needs. Yes, early they have to shoot for the ultra rich recreational market-big shots will want a couple of these on their mega yachts-or anywhere fun loving mega millionaires and billionaires get together to enjoy some outdoor fun, whether if be prowling the reefs, lagoons and beaches of The South Pacific or tracking big game across the tundra the Land Of The Midnight Sun. I sure hope I get to see one do its stuff in the real world someday-the videos are amazing in themselves
+BlankUberEverybody The machine has the capacity to handle more weight. It's just a matter of having enough potential buyers tell them what they want. Enough people tell dealers that they want a small bed on the back, they'll build one with a bed. Right now, you have to look at their business plan. They want and know they need to grow this slowly. Right now, they are going hard after the rec market. But they have said that they will introduce a new product every 12-18 months. They're working on trucks, a car, two-wheelers, three-wheelers and variations on the Quadski. Will your UTV concept be the next product? Probably not, but they will build one.Hope you've had a chance to check out my website: //FastAmphibians.com.
+B Laviolette thanks for the reply, For people who hunt, fish and trap for market to haulClams...fish....that machine is prollly too high performance for that kind of work-- but a 200 lb man could still haul 50-60 pounds of something that was high value...and do it with ease--but Im sure someone using it for that application would gladly sacrifiece some of that speed for a bigger cargo capacity-such a cool thing the way the wheels come up when it gets enough water under it--perfect amphibian for sure. Whoever designed/engineered that bad boy is a genius.
Blank, that's a really good question. Gibbs lists the weight capacity at 260 pounds for the single seater. But their view of weight capacity is bit different than the norm. That weight is set as the maximum weight at which the vehicle will perform at its advertised 45 mph speed. What would you like to haul with one?
