Peter, it's so hard to believe that you are no longer with us. You came a long way since your first appearance in Robert Montgomery Presents. You will always be remembered as Columbo, the pesky little detective that just would go away. I enjoyed watching that along with McCloud and McMillan & Wife. Tell Rock Hudson hello and may you now Rest in Eternal Peace with all the other Saints-in-Light.

Peter Falk was cute as Columbo. That show ended his marriage to Alyce Mayo who was with him when he was a nobody. Guess the fame went to his head and he felt like a somebody with Shera Danese 20 years his junior. R.I.P. Your daughters loved you very much.

I would've loved if Peter Falk had carry on playing Lt. Columbo after 2002 for more episodes until 2007 ended with Columbo's Last Case to be ready in early 2008, sadly that didn't happen.

I've watched Columbo since I was a little kid. I decided to download the entire series (I think there were close to 70 episodes including those two hour specials). I had some spare time so I was able to watch the entire series in a few weeks. What a great actor!! I feel like I know him and I'm saddened by the fact he now has dementia. Poor guy is suffering from Alzheimers, my grandmother also suffers from it so I know what he is going through. This guy is an absolute gem I love him. Whenever I am feeling a little down I will pop in an episode of Columbo and when his character enters the scene, suddenly everything is alright with the world. God bless you sir.

Having lost a father to dementia, I can assure you that it is possible to continue loving people after they're struck with this frightful disease that gradually dissolves their identities and make them vanish bit by bit. All it takes is compassion, practicality, and the ability to fill in the blank spots with your fond memories. I wish a very happy ending for the Great Mr. Falk.
