Suicide is never a joke. I hope that you will never have to experience the devastation it leaves for those who are left behind. I am disapponted to read such a venomous, vitriolic comment in such a beautiful language. Shame on you.

This is hilarious! Thanks for the laughs! :'D
But seriously though, as a native Dutch speaker and a linguistics nerd, I
don't think the English R (at the start of syllables in most accents and at
the end in US English) came from Dutch. I think it's the other way around.
After all, only decades ago a rolling R was standard in most cases, and
historically it was used most as well. (Although even today the exact
pronunciation of R's is very much dependant on in what region in the
Netherlands and Belgium you are) My guess is that the English R came from
Celtic languages, because it is very prominent in Irish and related
languages.
Wat een baas! Kan inderdaad ook niet zeggen dat mijn R in het Engels of
Nederlands klinkt zoals hij voordeed, maar ik ben dan ook een Limburger.
Keep it up!
