Good video. Do you have any other solutions as I tried and tried again and
again but still can't get in. It's the off side passenger door im having
bother with. Thanks.
Hey Boydie Mac. My name is Marius. I have a similar problem with the driver
door look of a petrol Golf 4. When I open the door with the key all the
doors of the car open except for the driver door. But sometime the rear
door on the side of the driver stays locked and the front door gets open. W
After watching this video and the other one that shoes how to: VW Door
Lock Control Module Fix Repair, Simple Easy Repair I ask my self what is
the root/main cause of the problem.
Is this a problem of the whole electrical system of the car?
Is the switch of the Lock Module?
Or the cable that connects to the handle is not properly adjusted?
How can I figure out what is the reason of the problem? What is particular
for my car: if I lock the door again, pull the handle, open the door for
the second time, than the door gets open.
The mechanic that I have asked to fix this issue just wants to replace the
Lock Control Module. But this will cost me a lot of money.
Maybe you can help!
Thank you in advance!
Marius
Good video! BMAK, please make a video how to remove the glove box, I want
to fix the mechanism that smoothly lowers the cover, but I can not remove
it. Untwists six Torx, but he still holds. Thank U.
I have made that video already, search for "Bmacvags glove compartment"
how to unlatch a door chain from outside
I made a movie clip that experimented from everything2 website article. everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=811532 Theres a article in everuthing2 website, ...
After just watching all these How-to videos I don't trust locks anymore. If
they want to get you, they going to get you. Better not to worry as much
and think of other types of security like cameras and even arming yourself
with the basics... I mean just look at the related videos. I thought buying
a custom lock refitted would be safe, but wrong it's so easy to pick any
lock nowadays it's kind of scary. I think I'm going to get 10 pad locks for
my front door with automatic steel shutters, jk :(
After hanging the chain, take a metal snap and pull together all the links
possible near the slid part of the door. This shortens the chain, making it
more difficult if not imopossible to slide the chain all the way off the
protective slide. Be sure the snap part is as far away from exposure as
possible. The longer it takes a creep to break in the more likely he'll
just move on. Oh, yeah, loud jingle bells on the chain can be starteling to
both parties. Good luck!! I fixed this on my chain!
@fatfree69 Eh.....still just doesnt look right to me.....I can kind of see
what you mean...but wouldnt the door cut the tension, when the top of it
shuts on the ribbon? I guess it might work on a door with enough of a gap
that the ribbon can be pulled tight to the right top of the door (looking
at it from the inside as in this video) while you shut it.....so....eh,
allright I guess I'll admit your right...but I dont see it working on doors
that shut tightly at the top.
@ableite one short hip and shoulder will bust these fuckers clean off the
wall and possibly knock anyone over standing behind the door when partially
open anyway... it either rips clean out of the door/frame or pops the
little pressed stud holding the chain on the frame side.. I know, I've done
it! (only to a chain I have owned on a house I owned after locking myself
out one night.. picked the lock and bumped into the door to pop the chain)
You just saved my mother fuckin' ass. My backdoor locks if you slam it too
hard. My friend accidentally did that, and the chain was latched on the
front door. This happened right before I was about to have friends over for
dinner. I began calling around to see if anyone had a bolt cutter, but then
my friend and I stumbled upon this. ALL HAIL YOUTUBE!
Wait a second.....what is the ribbon tied too?!?!! It looks like someone is
just holding on to it from the inside....like the burglar is saying.."hey
hold on to this ribbon for me for just a second" to the victum! LOL I'd
also make fun of your writing skills "it more easier"....but I
wont...because you might break into my house.
I actually don't use the door chain for security purposes, but so I know
whether my son is home or not. If it's unlatched I know he left. And if
it's latched I know he's home. That way I don't have to go into his room or
knock on his door to check. Interesting video.
The door chain ones don't fit... I've never seen a door chain that left
enough room to get your whole HAND through, they don't leave more than an
inch or so. If you could reach your hand through to hook something onto the
latch, why wouldn't you just open the latch.
@stludachris Not necessarily. These techniques are already somewhat
well-known to burglars. Potential victims probably wouldn't consider the
potential hazards unless they see how easy it is - then they might take
more responsibility for their own safety.
@stludachris lol that is a terrifying thought, however these small bypasses
don't do well when coupled with an actual locked door. You can also easily
strengthen your door with a variety of security devices found in local
hardware stores.
ok I am BEGGING you to tell me the NAME OF THIS SONG!! its awesome, PLEASE
tell me the music: who its from and whats the title! this would be VERY
appriciated. I'M ON MY KNEES! thank you (anyone can reply)
First off....how would you get past the first lock with the sliding bar?
And secondly, what half-ass redneck bullshit is having a lock with only two
screws? I know it was just demonstrating, but still.
The reason for you to use that chain is to open the door for a stranger. So
you dont open the door completly to him. Its not for you to secure your
house when you are sleeping...
@Trevoc2 More likely it's because he has English as a second language. If
you would have looked at the accompanying text you would have seen the .pl
suffix on the URL he posted.
My son locks the damn door and goes to sleep, so when I get off work I
can't get in...this trick would be helpful. also now I see it doesn't help
me to have it locked lol.
Protect against Garage Door break ins from the hanger trick. The 1x4 clears with about 3-4" to spare. When the 1x4 gets close to the rail it is actually almost ...
Did you try to open the garage door with that wood install there?? All I'm
thinking is you just add the weight on that door and also you would have a
problem when you open or closing the door at some angles
So, did your garage door still open after that?
How about a small coffee can, or any angle sheet metal attached to the
linking arm behind the release to block the coat hanger, and line of site.
If you would extend the arms of the brackets that open and close the door,
the angle of force from the brackets would hold your door shut and problem
solved! Also removal of the handle from the rope would be helpful!!
+Martin Spaulding Moving the arm rearwards also decreases the door travel by the same amount. So moving it back 12" means the door stays closed by 12". I'd rather have a door that opens all the way.
yea i know what you mean i stop by homedepo today and pick up some of there long trash wood and did it aswell ended up costing me 2 bucks plus some screws but you cant beat peace of mind knowing your tools are safe
That's why I don't have a garage door opener I put pad locks on the rails
of my door( and use small entrance door for in and out ) so no one can open
the door even if they smash a panel out or break the outside lock they are
not going to open the door . plus a cheap alarm system helps . they will
have a hard time trying to get large items out the small entrance door .
+sixtyfiveford That's true but as you also said you have a lot of tools and don't want them stolen most people I know their garage full of stuff (workshop) like mine and yours and almost never park a car in it or only to work on it . also quick a question why do we Park in Driveways and Drive on Parkways ???????
