hey! a couple of months ago I started to realise that my shoulder blades
were sticking out quite a bit and I asked my dad and he said it was because
I had bad posture. I've been trying your exercises and they seem to be
working a bit. How long does it take to heal? I'm 13 by the way and I want
rid of it asap. thank you
+Andrew xx it'll vary and I've noticed in young guys like you, it is more about adding mass to the back. If you're thin your shoulder blades will naturally look like they're sticking out. Usually something like this can heal within 6 months.
Hey Dr,
I got Scapula Atala, is there a case that this exercise won't fix this
issue? Because i did these exercises a year ago or so but i stopped doing
these because i was thinking that this wouldn't fix my issue. I already
been to a doctor, fhysio etc. Is there a definitely solution? like a
surgery or something.
+The Nike Guys you may want to talk to your parents and see if they can take you to a doctor to get checked out. Since you're young the doctor may recommend a treatment based on what he sees
Hi doctor Guevara. i think i have a winged scapula since i was born. my
shoulder blade stands out more than the other one(when i stay on my back
against the wall it hits first) + my shoulder joint cant go back like the
other one. when i saw this video (1 month ago) i start doing those
exercises every night (50-60 repeat for each exercise) . First i felt a
litle bit of pain + strain on my one shoulder. Now i feel just fatigue on
my one shoulder with the problem and I do not see any great improvements .
My question is: Do you think i have a winged scalpula? Will I have the
greatest improvement if i do these exercises 2 or more times a day everyday
? Thank you doc. PLEASE REPLY.
+Josef Smith if the exercises are not helping you to improve the winging of the scapula it may just be a deformity. It could be something other than a winged scapula if the nerve that innervates the serratus anterior muscle is not affected. Go ahead and try the exercises 2 times a day and see if it makes any different. It can hurt, it'll only make your muscles stronger
