So, with animating, could you *horrible attempt at phrasing * copy and paste a drawing to each frame? Say like, if you just want the thing you're animating to blink but you want everything else to not move. Could you bring everything over to another frame or do you have to animate EVERYTHING perfectly?

+paulthevideogamenerd im entering my senior year and working on my portfolio as well. i only decided on going for an art school in late junior year which has left very little precious time for me to get my stuff together. so its alway best to get a head start. there are a lot of resources out there that you should take advantage of. search for free art programs near you that you can attend- theyll build up your skills and portfolio. as well as if youre not a good time manager or youre a procrastinator, going to a program will motivate you to get more art done. if your school offers a variety of art courses, take them. if you live in nyc, message me, i have a bunch of art programs that would really have you out. create an art blog (tumblr is a great platform) and this will keep you consistent in making art too, youll be spreading your art and being inspired by other arts. check out the other artists' portfolios. look at the requirements of the art schools you want to go to. go to national portfolio days. go to museums! draw at museums. always carry a sketchbook around. work on observational drawing, realistic drawing. experiment with mediums. really push yourself with your art. hope that helps!!oh and check out "studentartguide (dot) com" awesome site.
