5:52-5:56 at the bottom right corner. What in the world are those Dead
Heads holding up above their heads and passing from right to left?????
And no, it's not cannabis. It looks like some kind of castle made up of a
cardboard box.
Madonna - Into the groove (Live at JFK Stadium Philadelphia - July 13th 1985 - Live Aid)
"Into the Groove" is a song released as a single on July 23, 1985 by Warner Bros. Records, supporting the 1985 film Desperately Seeking Susan. The song later ...
Timeless.. she is so hot! What a performer! They make the rest of the
groups at Live Aid look like they are on quaaludes. Pop stars aren't
supposed to be this good in live performance, right? There wasn't another
band that deserved to be on that stage, in front of the world, more than
Madonna.
wow! for being relatively a new comer at the time, she did a great job!
thats when she probably got the bug for playing to such large
audiences...lol. i'm just saying...maybe! lol. anyway...still kicking ass
Madonna. from a Madonna fan...always!
Ah Ha you guys don't rememeber, a playboy edition came out right before
that, i was there that Saturday and she said she wasn't taking shit off
today lol it was all because of the playboy issue and it was Scorching that
Day
Live Aid was a multi-venue rock music concert held on July 13, 1985
(1985-07-13). The event was organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise
funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. Billed as the 'global jukebox', the
event was held simultaneously in London (82,000 people) and Philadelphia
(99,000 people). It was one of the largest-scale satellite link-ups and
television broadcasts of all time: an estimated 400 million viewers, across
60 countries, watched the live broadcast.
che che ... if you compare this video whit the early ones, when ozzy was
still in Sabbath, theirs a huge difference... like, You can see that
everybody on a stage just doing it, because it ''has to be done'' not
because they enjoy it... Sad. Sabbath was one of the greatest bands ever,
but after they split up, they could never sound the same again... oh well,
they all had awesome careers after that anyway ;}} Thanks for the vid!
JFK Stadium was closed in '89 after a Grateful Dead show for structural
instabilities. It was demolished in 1992. There are now 3 new complexes in
the old sites (Veteran Stadium was also demolished and the Spectrum is also
scheduled for the wrecking ball.) Lincoln Financial Field (Eagles),
Citizens Bank Park (Phillies) and the Wachovia Center (Flyers & Sixers) are
now standing in their places.
This is by far the best quality video and audio for this on You Tube but
the intro by Chevy Chase is tacked onto the beginning as is the band's
entrance. They opened the set with "Children of the Grave" followed by
"Iron Man" and then this version of "Paranoid" must be from the official
compilation DVD.
Yeah, Philly had Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin on the same day, and that
crowd was still deader than a box of hammers. Any other city would have
went absolutely nuts. Look at the London crowd that day, with Queen and U2
and the Who; they made the Philly crowd look like a funeral.
@huswsimonbla remember.. this was dozens of artists on this show. Black
Sabbath and Judas Priest were the only Metal bands who appeared in the
Philly site. There were some other metal bands performing in London, I
believe.
Ozzy wasn't officially in the band at the time. I think they were without a
singer at the time since Ian Gillian ditched. He didn't officially rejoin
the band untill 1996-1997.
@bkrbtlg08 It was listed as "Featuring Ozzy" because Ozzy had not been in
the band for 5 years. Ronnie James Dio and Ian Gillian had already come and
gone.
@kevmoney2make Most of them were there to see Madonna and other pop bands.
The only other "heavy band" to play was Led Zeppelin with Phil Collins on
drums.
Madonna - Holiday (Live at JFK Stadium Philadelphia - July 13th 1985 - Live Aid)
"It's twelve noon in London, seven AM in Philadelphia, and around the world it's time for; Live Aid ...." Richard Skinner opening the show. The concert was the ...
Covered from head to toe, despite the enormous heat, Madonna did it in
protest of her nude photos from 1979 published without her permission in
Playboy & Penthouse.
"Today I will not take anything" - said Madonna
Years later she said she didn't like this performance, but for the wrong
reasons.
She said she "was fat and the hair color she wore (one coppery red) were
horrible."
You old hags gotta agree that's an awesome beat. Since you can't handle
cardio classes, for example Zumba like feisty chihuahua's daughter, you can
still use this awesome tune to work your kosher pickle and get that old
gray pussy sore.
younger, sexier, attractive madonna in her prime years wearing a fuckin
jacket while prancing around like winter prostitute in a hot july day. Her
costume producer should've been shot for this costly mistake! Now 2015, we
have an old wrinkly pruned hag madonna that can't seem to cover any skin
that needs to be hidden.. WTF is wrong with her & her clueless people!
+fyte4luv808 Look , you can loose the attitude! The reason, she didn t show any skin, was because her shitface, violent back-then husband Sean Penn ,TOLD her to! How old are YOU , are YOU a wrinkly, pruned hag? i think you ARE!!
U2 w/ Bruce Springsteen - Stand By Me (Live 1987-09-25)
U2 with Bruce Springsteen - Stand By Me at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia on September 25, 1987. Pro-shot black-and-white footage of this performance was ...
I was there, age 12. Being from 2 street, the Irish section of South Philly
this was a huge event. But really, no one wanted Bruce there. When he came
out everyone boo'ed him. It was actually the low point of the whole show.
Sorry. There were so many other highlights and brilliant moments in the
show. I hope to see some of them posted.
I was there. I was a senior in high school. I had an extra ticket that I
ended up selling to the new assistant disciplinarian of my school. Turns
out he was a huge Bruce fan and basically told me after that I had a free
pass for the rest of the year!
I was there too,age 18 and NO ONE booed Bruce. They did BOO Little Steven
because he was the opening band and came out and made some political
statement before he played that no one liked though i dont remember what it
was
I was there too!. It seems like yesterday. My friend got on stage and was
thrown out on his can. I remeber the traffic was horrible getting there as
there was a phillies games or flyers not sure.
That's interesting...because I'm watching the video of it and hear nothing
but cheers that get progressively louder as they realize who it is. The
sound must be screwy on my computer.
I was there in the stands. Before Bruce Bono brought out of the front
rows a pretty cool chick with long hair to play. She was actually quite
good. Anyone else remember this?
JFK Stadium Finale ☮ We Are The World (Highest Quality)
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE! Here you will find some of the highest quality streaming Live Aid clips on the internet! Live Aid was a NON PROFIT concert, and these ...
Is that Jeff Bridges at 3:00? Thanks so much for uploading all of these
great videos! Shame that they overdubbed a slight bit at the beginning of
this video, I can hear James Ingram and Kenny Rogers!
I was right down by the stage for this whole show in Philly :)
The Beatles live at JFK Stadium August 16,1966 Philadelphia, Pa.
20:04 seconds from the Beatles concert I attended on August 16, 1966 . About 10 seconds of "I Feel Fine" . To the best of my knowledge , it is the only film in ...
I was at The Beatles 1966 concert in phylly . My dear Aunt Elenore ♡ from
Roslyn, Pa and her daughter Andy took me there. I was visiting them from
Lorain,Ohio. It was wonderful I was 12 years old and am now 61 and it has
been a highlight of my life!!! Lost my orange ticket years ago when I went
to frame it it was gone. I cried. I wouldn't sell it for a million dollars.
Don't know what happened .zI had it all these years in a album. We left the
concert when Paul announced this was there last dong because of a storm
comming in. The rain going home was so bad we had to pull over. I have
always loved my Beatles and still do. A fan forever Diane Clark
+Diane Clark I was there too (I was 18) and I lived in Roslyn at the time. Do remember the other bands in the concert? It was the Remains, The Circle (Red Rubber Ball) and the Ronettes!
ok ,jagger doesn't tip maybe he only had hundreds?or hes just british
whatever the case this guy seem a little poed that he doesn't get tips from
celebs,hey i know mick a great performer his personal qualities i don't
know or care ha ha ha 1 dollar even back then thats funny atleast theres
paul anka ,this guy would probably vote anka for president after that 10
dollar tip ha ha ha love u tube
thats a kind way of puttin it, i saw them on this tour as they came south
to orlando/the tangerine Bowl, we drove up there from Ft Lauderdale w/ no
tix & ended up copping them for $5 a ticket.Micks voice was horse by then &
i was dissapointed. Van halen was better. He did the bit in the cherry
picker wearing the football knickers & jersey..boring
This was an incredible rock and roll show! It was a Saturday and even
though it was late September, it was actually very hot! I wish I could get
a complete set list of this show! I can remember that at the end, everyone
thought it was over, but the band cranked out and incredible "Going To A
Go-Go" for an encore!
what did you think of the show & Van halen.. remember when DLR mooned the
crowd cause he was sayin the critics called him an ass in the papers, yes i
copped a tx & got in just as The henry paul band started, i was towards the
front area being pushed & shoved, those were the days..are you from Fla?
I was at this show. It was Great. This one must have been popular. At our
company xmas party two years ago, we were talking about concerts. When this
one came up we had three people in our company who were at this one.We
didn't know each other at that time,, what, almost thirty years ago?
omg, never saw this video before. I was there and our group stayed at the
Sheraton. for years my friend swore he saw Mick getting out of a cab in
front of the hotel. we were about 50 yards from the stage I guess, in the
crowd. couldn't see a thing, you couldn't move. great memory
Was there both days. 21 years old. What a blast! Just something
unexplainable about how much fun that was. Have seen them every time since,
but that one was historical. Of course, the screwdrivers and weed helped
too! Just don't find that anymore. Guess we're too old now.
I saw them both days in Philly. Two of the most memorable concerts. The
size of the crowds alone were crazy! They didn't do the Satisfaction encore
the 2nd day because thousands of fans with no tickets evidently busted thru
the gates. Thanks for the memory!
Hey Mike, from Boston !! We both know Philadelphia has the best Phans in
the world. Me, you and The Stones know this. That's why Phila is the
stadium rock show capital of the world !! And that's why you drive your
Volkswagen down here for your Philly Phix
I wonder if the Japanese guy isn't one the Japanese guys that followed the
whole tour and recorded every show in the back of a van by picking up the
radio signals from the radio transmits from the mikes and the guitars? If
so, that would be cool!
I was there the 2nd day, the 26th. It was my 21st birthday. I remember
Septa went on strike that day and stranded a lot of us down at the stadium.
We didn't care, we just descended on Broad Street and took over. What a
blast!
Get a look at those fans! Philadelphians, God luv 'em, will turn out to see
a flea circus, so imagine the response they gave the Stones! And yes, we
Philly folx reserve the right to bus on anybody . . . I miss my hometown!
@zappahart I think the total was 21.50,handling fees or whatever,we thought
that was a little high back then, although we didnt balk at it,and just
think Im still talking about that experience.priceless
nah, my buddy from Cocoa got me tix to the Tangerine Bowl. I was never big
on Van Halen to begin with. Putting them on the same bill as the Stones was
off key & weird. VH is rock for rich suburban kids
MOSKILL58, i was at the Philly show and the Tangerine Bowl show. The Henry
Paul Band opened in Orlando. They were giving tickets away there. I still
have my ticket stub !! It was October 1981
I saw them the day before. One of the most memorable days of my life. Keith
and Ron still addicts at the time. Very non-commercial/raw sound....like a
garage or bar band trying to make it.
sherry, i was there for both Stones shows in 1981, i was right down in
front. I have small pix of it even still. Great stuff !! I was even at the
Live Aid show in 1985. God bless JFK !!
LOL Mick $1 Tip well maybe he was in a hurry or maybe the cabdriver was
rude or maybe he is lie just to have his 10 minutes of fame. The Stones
Rock I love them,Thanks for the post.
there's nothing like The Stones in Philadelphia. I took off from work and
got drunk, played loud music and hung out with groupies. Rock shows in
Philadelphia are the fucking best !!
hey everybody !! Mike from Boston used to drive down to Philly in his VW
for his stadium shows because Philly Phanz are the best !! The Stones know
Philly is the best town !!
@kracckers i was there the second day also do you remember the rusty water
that was on the field ...we were all drinking it it came out of a bank of
water fountains.
I was there for both shows. Spent the night in JFK parking lot..No sleep in
those days.. I could write a short story on the shit that went down that on
that weekend
wow, I was sure that Michael Jackson was the first to use a crane on stage,
guess not; which would make Mick Jagger the best "MJ" out of the two
musicians XDD
