No No No is such a great album, 2015 is becoming the best year for albums
i've been looking forward to for years.
I'm just thinking that if Zach did a Take Away Show singing Gibraltar on
the streets of Paris again, jeezus, that would be glorious. It'll just be
like Nantes.
The album leaked! I'm listening to it now. At Once is so beautiful!
Quintessential Zach! So beautiful. Wish it were longer though. Now I'm
listening to August Holland. It sounds a lot like a song you'd hear on The
Riptide. Very East Harlem like. Now "As Needed" has just kicked in.
Interesting... As much crap as I've talked about the first two tracks, I'm
still happy with a new Beirut! Oh, and I'll definitely be buying the album
on Friday.
+AdamGB81 I've listened to the album in its entirety, and the two singles in my opinion are the worse songs on the album. There are some gems on this album, especially the last track. It's short, only 9 songs, but it's heartfelt, something that the singles lacked. That final track is a tearjerker for sure!
people keep complaining about Beirut missing their balkan folk music feel
to them.
There are pros and cons to that.
The cons being. After awhile it will all sound the same and people will get
tired of it. Example of a band that does the same thing over and over = Foo
fighters. They were nice at first but its just been the same sound. same
thing over and over and over and it gets repetitive and annoying after
awhile.
The pros. Music is art. there are no rules, Music is about experimenting
with your emotions. bringing these sounds together that make something
sound beautiful. Like everything on this album and every album previously
released by zach.
hes not here to make the same sound or the same album over and over, hes
here because he has a passion for music and his passion leads him to
experiment and try new things and see how he likes it. what he does and
doesnt like.
and i think that is just beautiful zach. Godspeed you magnificent bastard.
people need to stop losing their shit over this albums new sound. he will
come back with something different next time and it will be goddamn
amazing. people want him to be more obscure because of their bullshit
hipster ideologies. and thats coming from Good 'ole uncle hitler who had a
pretty okay idea in the 30's and 40's.
hes mezmerized me from the first day i heard his street performance video
Nantes. and he has continued to mezmerize to this day with his releases.
music is art. art is subjective. Just my view on this whole shitfest people
are throwing
"The kip tide" (2011).

I would love to meet a woman who could spend a sunday afternoon (or entire
life) listening to Beirut with me, with a beautiful landscape in the
horizon... i really need that...
+Eu Mesma Vou então sugerir-lhe algumas músicas desta banda que eu gosto particularmente...A Sunday Smile... Elephant Gun... Postcards from Italy... The Rip Tide... Guyamas Sonora... só para começar... :)
Saiba a menina que desconhecer Beirut é quase Pecado!!!!! Todavia, até tem o seu lado bom... Vai passar a conhecer! Vai poder apreciar e fruir de algo incomparável...Beirut é o Santo Gral de qualquer melómano...
+s8thMPkar98 1. If that were true it wouldn't be sad. But i like music after the 80's as well, The Horrors, IAMX, Smashing Pumpkins, Wolf Alice. and many more.
Twin suicide bombings rock Beirut; 43 killed, over 200 wounded
Powerful blasts, carried out by at least two suicide bombers on motorbikes, have killed at least 43 people in Beirut. Around 200 others have received injuries.
:) I have a few playlists up on YouTube but that's just a fraction of the number of lists I like to compile every now and then. Mostly I'd just put them up on 8tracks or smth
I'd love to get to meet Zach one day and pick a part of his brain regarding the way he creates the magic that is his music. Kudos for you for being aquatinted with an amazing band
My friend is actually the bass player. I've met zach but it was briefly. In his interview with our paper in Oregon. They asked zach what made you want to make this album. He mentioned that Paul war the catalyst
+Christine R Send me a playlist of some of your favorite songs, Christine. I'm always looking for new music! I can do the same for you if you'd like. :)
+Jason Biggs haha thanks, I really just leave comments on YouTube like I would if this were a music forum. Sorta like connecting with other people via discussions and ideas regarding a certain song :)
That's what I'm saying. Gotta enjoy a person that loves musicians. I was able to hang out with my friend from this band before they went to the Greek and sydney. So if someone gets a chance to meet him, they can toss my name and possibly hang out with them. Best part is their knowledge of music from around the world
+Christine R In every music/video I watch & listen to, you're always in the comment section from Beirut to Abhi//Dijon. Glad to know there's a girl with the same taste. TOAST!
youre gorgeous and I'll go to any show you will go to. I'll do my best to introduce you. I'm lucky enough to be dear friends of a band member. hell i dont need to be there. just tell Paul you know farrow

This video will be seen in 20 years and we'll say "it was different back
then" and "real music was produced back then" while other people will see
it in 80 years and won't believe how beautiful and gorgeous it was back in
the 10's.
