Come to think of it, who remembers being born? Literally, I have never met
anyone who remembers being born. How did we come to be here? Being
birthed.. of course? Does anyone remember this?
+Mike Messiah lol I aced high school biology (and science, and chemistry). However just because I can learn and regurgitate what the teachers want doesn't mean I believe every bit of it. Anyone with any reasonable amount of intelligence will spot issues in science that the generally educated refuse to acknowledge. If you can't see it, go study. I'm not telling you.
+Mike Messiah Just an excuse to explain the "why" we can't remember being born lol. How do we KNOW our brains weren't developed enough to retain memory of birth? Has anyone cut open the brain of a baby and poked around? (probably sadly). Even so, we still can't be certain that excuse is right.
The scene when Dom Cobb and Ariadne were at the cafe, as all the stuff was blowing up and flying everywhere? Not at all a green screen, they really were at the scene, and they used different mechanisms to flip the car and to make stuff fly everywhere. There's videos filmed by people from their house looking down at the set and you can see everything, the cable that pulls the car, you hear the countdown to the explosion etc etc. They showed multiple shots that were then interlaced together (only the debris ofc) so it looked more chaotic. The scene when they're fighting in the hallway upside down and whatnot? Not a green screen either, filmed fully inside of a long hallway inside of a centrifuge. There is alot of planning and detail to every scene of Christopher Nolan's movies. He hates green screen, CGI and other digital effects. Why? Because as you said, there's something with the dept that just isn't right. If you wanna find out more, just google for "inception behind the scenes", you'll find a ton of videos, and learn alot more, and like me, start to love Nolan, because he produces ART!
+dannu677 Yeah, I said earlier that probably some parts of the scene were really taken in a coffee shop (i had not idea it was really France. thought) but other parts just have to be green screen. Otherwise, it would have been imposible to make that bomb effect.
+S Singh I didn´t watch the making of it (I didn´t even know you could see the making of Inception in youtube). It´s just something you can tell when you have worked with editing programs before. Green Screen is basically the first thing you learn when you start to work with Sony Vegas Pro or Movie Studio Platinum.
You know that,in order to do most Action/Sci-fi movies, you have to remove the background from he scene you´re shooting and replace it by another made by computer programs? For example, let´s say I´m making a movie settled in the moon. I obviously can´t send the actos to the actual moon, so I make they play their parts in an scenario where there´s nothing, and later I had the starry sky and the planets, the sun, the Earth, ect. To do this I need to remove the original background so only the actors would remain in the screen, so I put a "green screen" (a light green blanket) over the walls and ceiling of the place where we are shooting. In this way, the contrast between the actors and thebackground is much higher, and the scene is easier to edit. Did I made myself clear or I´m just going in circles? English is not my first lenguage and this is kind of hard to explain.
It´s hard to explain, really. I´ve worked with green screen before and I normally can tell when a movie is using it or not because of the depth. I think some of the frames are actually Dom and Ariadne in a coffee shop, but most of them were probably taken with a green screen as background so it would be easier to make the bomb effect we see later in the scene.
Sort your shit out - episode 7! I know a ton of people were left confused by the movie Inception. I was asked about it so thought I would make this easy to ...
Good point, TerranceMcghee! He didn't even mention the scene at the very
end of the movie...when Leo's character walks away from the table and the
top is still spinning and doesn't stop and fall over...it just keeps
spinning while he walks out the back door to have the reunion with his
kids. My theory is that Leo's character wanted an inception story implanted
in his head so he wouldn't know he's dreaming and he could live happilly
ever after with his family.
For those who are wondering if Cobb is dreaming or not in the end, you're
missing the whole point of the movie. It's the fact that, even though he
was so obsessed with that totem and wanted to see his "real" kids in
reality, he TURNED AWAY from the top, and saw his kids' faces. He then
accepted that whatever makes him happy is his reality. That was the point,
the fact that Cobb decides not to see if the top fell or not, just as WE
don't see it fall or not.
@iVerySecret He didn't actually continue dreaming. That thing was about to
stop spinning, but you never see it fall so thats what confuses all the
people. You know he's awake because that last guy was all of his conscience
in one character which he talked into killing them both, and when he dealt
with that you know he isn't dreaming simply because for the first time in
the whole movie - he could actually see his kids's faces.
The only thing I don't understand, is how after Mol kills Fischer, he goes
to Limbo, yet when Cobb and Ariatne(?) simply fall asleep, they ALSO go to
Limbo. Wouldn't they just go to a further dream level instead? Also, how
the hell does dying in Limbo put you back up a dream level, when dying put
you there in the first place? And another thing, shock paddles don't just
heal two bullet wounds to the chest.
@DWest174 The later deaths -with the exception of Fischer, who drops down
into limbo- occur because of/ in sync with the 'kicks.' It's implied that
this sensation enables the dreamer to rise up through the dream levels.
Also, After Ariadne and Arthur etc end up back in the first dream level,
they appear to wait around in the level for some time - most likely to
allow the sedation to wear off.
@AGWDanimations ok so basicly when you are in a dream your brain can react
faster so 5 mins in real life is an hour dream so the more dreams withing
in dreams the faster ur brain can react but if they sync in all dreams to a
kick at the same time to wake up they dont have to wait that shit load of
time
This is what he said:

Put the meth pipe/crack pipe down, 'mattmulholland26' and chill dude...you
talk sooo fast, you sound like a Brit turned blonde who moved to the valley
in an 80's movie! Also, you didn't explain anything, not a single theory or
any insight on the plot.
What I needed was an overall timeline of what happened so I could
understand it, and this video basically provided that. If you people want
to learn the rules and deep meanings, don't bash this video or any person,
just read some articles online.
I understood the movie the first time I saw it,jesus people. If you want
something that actually needs an explanation, watch the movie Eraserhead or
play the game Pathologic. The former is totally WHAT THE FUCK,while the
latter.....
Limbo is a state of mind in which you're brain would basically turn into
scrambled eggs in real life. Limbo is also the state between life and death
pretty much saying you won't die right away but you'll die EVENTUALLY.
@BucketFullofThunder Because they're poor. lol Jk, good question, but there
isn't actually a real answer. The movie was made such so it can be figured
out in many different ways. I just put out my version^^
@ciscoXkidX25 Or you could notice that Cobb's real totem is his wedding
ring, which is only on when he's in a dream, but there's no clear view of
his left hand in the final scene. WHAT THE FUCK NOW
I feel like the real movie went for longer than this.. are you sure you
explained it right? maybe you missed a dream.. maybe this is the dream..
was that a dream?............
Dying in limbo does not put you back up a level in the dream. The shock
paddles gave ficher his kick while aiadne jumps from the building to get
her own kick.... i think
@MissReibot Except for how they can't kill Sado in dream stage 1, but they
can later on, when they kill themselves over and over again to escape each
level one by one.
NOTICE... DOM DIDNT GET OUT OF THE DREAM. WHEN HE WAKES UP IN THE PLANE, HE
STILL DREAMS, SINCE HE USED HIS TOTEM TO PROOVE IT, IN THE END... REMEMBER
IT NEVER STOPPED.
DUDEE !! he didn't wake up in real life !!! he kept dreaming!! didnt u see
the end when he twists that thing and it kept spinnin and spinning and IT
DIDNDT STOP !!!
He didnt mean that he meant the spinning top. The rest was hard for stupid
people to understand. They just like the fighting scences and moving
pictures
To haters, I think you people fail to realize that this is a Sort Your Shit
Out video, which is comedy. get over it and gtfo, kaythx, - the other people
Inception in Real-Time
The dream just got a little more complicated. Edited by Weikang Sun. Editing platform: Sony Vegas Pro 10 Video from Inception Music: Mombasa, from Inception ...
So called gravity? Gravity exists... Also, it's because your senses are weakened the further down you go, which is why Saito felt less pain a few layers down.
So if you're falling, and experience 0G, you feel that 0G in your dream,
you float. But wait, you're still in 0G, why does it not carry over to the
next level of dream? That makes no sense. If it was the change of
acceleration what triggers it, then they should've woken up as soon as the
van left the bridge, and then woken up as soon the 0G effect carried over,
and then woken up when it carried over again.
This movie makes no sense from a physics point of view, how did so many
people criticize it as being perfect?
+TheDrB0B I get your point, but you're too focused on physics: it's a dream, there are no real physics, and the actual physics of the dream depends of how the body senses everything while asleep, also the movie would have been a nightmare with everybody floating around (?)
+Protherus That's my entire point, what the brain senses as falling, is the sudden change of 1G downwards acceleration to 0G. When the 0G effect carries over to the second layer, they must've felt that 1G to 0G change. For example, look at the astronauts, they are experiencing almost the same amount of gravity that you and I are, but since they're falling constantly, they experience 0G. Hence, they float, they are falling at the same speed as the ship.
+TheDrB0B When they are in freefall, the body senses that there is nothing you can hold on to. That happens in the subconscious and connects with the dream by supressing gravity. But with no gravity, you're not falling. You're just suspended, so the physics in the dream within the dream with no gravity are not altered in any way. It's more about senses, not physics. Remember everything is in the mind, and I have no memory of the mind being ruled by real world physics.
My mom hadn't seen Christopher Nolan's epic INCEPTION. We watched it together and afterward she told me what she thought happened, and who she thought ...

This is actually a very good example of how you can talk about complicated
things using a relatively low level of English. This is something that
people from Latin cultures tend to do quite easily but Japanese people are
usually unwilling to speak unless they think they can say it perfectly.
Obviously if you start out at this level and get a lot of real speaking
practice in you're going to improve your English much more quickly than
someone who is afraid to speak. The moral of the story is, don't worry
about making mistakes, speak as much as possible.
@Pokenopoly The ending is not a dream, in all of the dreams he wears his
wedding ring, but in reality he doesn´t. At the end he doesn´t wear a ring
so he is in reality. And yeah the top toppelin should not happen in a dream
and he is not able to see his kids in a dream. But i guess we have to wait
for "word of god" if we really wanna know, but i guess it should be clear
that the end shows reality.
@dronehymns Who ever does the animation for her always put in some random
guys from no where which are still similar to the movie characters. For an
example in spider man story, he put osama binladen in substitute for the
robber that peter caught. Shrek in substitute for his best friend's father
(forgot his name).
@dronehymns Dude, he was the guy who gave them their mission in the first
place. Saito. His "limbo" was the traditional Japanese room at the
beginning and near the end of the movie. He was the reason they did this
whole shindig, and he was with them through every layer to slow down his
dying of his injury.
.... I still don't get it... Why they had to go in that deep dream shit in
the first place? To get some information they needed...? I watched the
movie yesterday, and it didn't have my native language subtitles, so I
understood only a half of the storyline :D
Well done! Your english is really good and this is a clever way of using
and improving it. I hope you're enjoying watching all these American
movies. You certainly have a good grasp of them. And can I just say you are
utterly adorable?
I've never watched Inception, but now I know and understand just as much
about the movie as any native English speaker that has watched it. Thank
you, I wont have to actually watch it myself now.
Ok so my friend and I are learning Japanese and in the Japanese language
there are a little over a hundred language sounds. In English there are
more than 8000. Just Putin that out there.
The ending is in reality, the top is not his totem its his wife's, his is
his wedding ring, he only wears it while in the dream world, not wearing it
at the end of the movie...BOOSH
@Auxillia But this was the guy. He was the man they were doing this job for
in the first place, remember? And remember how his Limbo was a Japanese
traditional room?
