Maybe this is just because I'm not a guitar player but is anybody else
really impressed that not only is he picking the rhythmic section of the
song, but he's also picking the bass with his thumb?! It must take an
insane amount of dexterity and practice to get that right. Definitely well
worth the outcome, I'm sure. Great cover!
+dawaffle park sorry, I'm a new guitar player here. It just seems like playing the bass and the rhythm at the same time would be a difficult thing to do, but I guess not.
I'm just using my thumb for the quarter note bass notes, and my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fingers for the chords! And that's pretty much how it is for the entirety of the song.

I've tried...uh...one of the Japanese-exclusive ones, I think. Don't ask how. It's actually really good. So good that it's too complicated for a casual user like me.
+TheInunah I'm not sure because I've never actually played it! I kind of wish I had gotten that one back in the day though- I bet I would've had a blast with that thing!! Have you tried it?
That had a voice recording function too, didn't it?I mean, I tried it...uh...somehow...but I wasn't very understanding of how to use it so I didn't really check it out in too much detail.
+TheInunah You're right! I forgot about that :). Actually, that reminds me- Korg made a synthesizer 'game' for the DS called the DS-10, which is a play on the MS-10, a famous vintage synth. It's too bad it doesn't have a vocoder! There's a cool video on YouTube if you search "DS-10 TalkBox" :)
Can't you do that with the sound player thing on the DSi? With the recording section that lets you play with different sound filters?Of course, you'd need multiple recorded files because IIRC the thing only allows recordings up to a certain amount of time (IIRC the max recording time is 30 seconds?)...
+TheInunah If only everyone had a vocoder... Nintendo should consider creating some kind of built-in vocoder software so players could sing along with K.K. Slider's voice in-game!
This is so magical. You've made my favorite Animal Crossing game. You have
such a pretty voice which makes this so great. Keep on doing what your
doing :D
+Doodle Crew "there's no right/wrong way to sing it"And there's no right/wrong way to play it. If she would just strum randomly without making any sense that would also be correct.
She changed the lyrics so it would sound better with how she produces music. Plus the literal translation usually isn't very melodic with most songs, so you sort of have to change them.
+dylan privaloff there's no right/wrong way to sing iti believe this melody is based on the one from the Animal Crossing movie (check it out, it's awesome :o)
