Thank you so much for doing your videos- I learn a lot from your process.
Try out the toon material / outline in Keyshot. Set your angles and line
weight until you get the line work that you want- bring that over your
initial render and set the layer to multiply- faster than tracing
everything and gets you 90 percent of the way there in a few minutes. Also,
if you press shift-ctrl-alt-E in photoshop, it creates a new layer which is
the composite image of everything that came before- faster than duplicating
and combining layers as it is all in one step.
Very useful tip here. Seriously, been working with PS for 7-8 years and
never thought about playing with levels like that just to see the sources
of light/shadows for the final "render" its pretty pretty good tip mate.
it would be awesome if there is more slowed down documentation video or not
doesnt matter.. i really dont get many things he explained because too
fast.

Assassin'S Creed 3 - Speed Sculpt in ZBrush - Fan Made! [HD]

he most likely used his undo history to render a video from it, as you don't see any brush cursor or anything else like that going on there, just the sculpt appearing. I find it a bit dizzying really, better use a screen capture software to record also the brush movements IMO. camtasia recorder for win, screenflow for mac.
Zbrush 4R7 Tips and Tricks Teaser
Just a teaser of tip and tricks of how things work in the new Z! more to come! Stay tuned!
Great video,I love what they did to the R7,I can't even imagine what
they'll do next...ohh I found your channel some days ago but I forgot to
sub,glad I found you again.
+AngeloJulioth Thank you for your kind words and for finding my channel helpful. I am currently researching new avenues of creativity that are relavent to our current, available tool set. Thank you again and stay tuned! =) ~MAH~
Impressive, I will be using modo and max less and less from now on, how
that clipcurved mesh snapped back to the hidden mesh is amazing! I'm just
hoping for more transform and precision tools in the future cuz I'm nothing
less of a poly nerd than you.
peace.
triangles are always planar. 3 points define a plane by definition. so it
will always shade well/predictably. with a quad, if you grab a vert and
move it off the plane, you now have a non-planar poly and especially for
real time graphics, it can screw up shading.
+Michael Angelo Hernandez oh and yeah i'm definitely not a fan of modeling apps babysitting triangles... i think 3ds max used to be much more triangle focused than it is these days. i'm definitely in the quad camp especially as it affects subds and if i'm doing game work, i can just tesselate when i'm done.
+Michael Angelo Hernandez oh thank you! i'm a huge fan of your low poly modeling zbrush vids prior to the zmodeler brush... that lantern modeling vid was both impressive and terrifying! i could never ever even HOPE do that in zb so i'm very very excited about zmodeler!
GREAT insight with the use of bridge and masking. I don't get why delete
edge doesn't work with my zmodeler though, and how do you enable those
yellow poles that stick out to show where the vertex normal is facing?
+Callibree Thanks for your reply. what I wanted to do was delete a single edge, but it deleted an edge loop instead. The yellow poles that I am talking about are the ones with the yellow circles that represent each vertex normal like in Mike's video.
I noticed the same thing with the edges not deleting at times and what I found was if I put the edge action as insert and then press alt while poly action is set at qmesh it deletes. For me, I have to put myself in slow motion mode when using my Wacom pen and zBrush. Its very easy to move quick and miss details. To see those yellow poles, hover your mouse pointer over a large poly and move slow. Think slow motion when navigating the qmesh. As you hover between center point and an edge you will see a yellow line appear dictating the direction and orientation.

Sculptris To Second life Workflow-tutorial: Broken texture fix(no zbrush)
WARNING: This isnt my best tutorial but meh it works ya. --- This is actually a update to a older tutorial that required you to use Zbrush's zremesher. as we ...
+Christina Parissi Yes you can, I would still say use avastar because it's super convenient (At least 1.1 is XD) and included in our class materials on the quick rigging tutorial or on our website.Anyway to answer your question yes you can import the second life avatar into Sculptris. Just export as OBJ and check the following boxes and it should import.//gyazo.com/9027027f862e413eb7501cfd2070deec
Hey really enjoyed the video & your pleasant style of presenting. I look
forward to more ;)
I'm a total noob with a couple questions.
-what was the purpose of bringing it back into Blender? Did it need to be
exported into a format SLife could load, which could not be done in
Sculptris?
-if not, could everything (if a static obj without a skeleton) be done in
Sculptris?
I'm looking for the easiest and cheapest ways of creating 3d models. Be
sure to check out 123D Catch by Autodesk for turning photos into 3D
objects, it's free too.
Awww thanks, sorry for the delay I only come over here once a week, so my replies get delayed. So to answer your question.1. Yes we bring it into blender because sculptris does not export in .DAE which is the mesh format for SL,2- Yes you could import a static OBJ into sculptris, if you get a triangle error you could try running it in Blender first then exporting it as a OBJ making sure you have the boxes I showed at 3:41 checked, and that should take care of the error.123D catch? I've never heard of it but I'll give it a look, We love getting new tools to make the job go easier.

but I think in this case, it is just the creator of ZBrush failed completely, this is a first 3d sculpting software indeed, it has its value, but their creator makes too much error, it misleading and obstructing people so much, and it is totally a unnecessary thing.
