2016 Lexus RX 350 Review - DETAILED in 4K
The RX continues to be a large 2-row crossover that's high on value and comfort. 2016 brings a complete redesign with polarizing looks and serious updates on ...
I have a 2013 Lexus RX 350. Very happy with this car. The main reason that
I bought 2013 RX350 is I like its front look very much. Very beautiful
design for the front light and the grille, they have a very outstanding
combination. But now, this 2016 RX 350 just like a completely different
design.
I really have to say the design on 2016 is too much.... They put too much
design on the new one and lost the balance actually. In my point of view,
2013-2015 model is acceptable for a wide range of people. But 2016 looks
too aggressive, too modern, just fit for younger people.RX350 lost its
original characteristic...
I don't like RX 2016, looks cheap but not like a luxury car anymore. If I
am going to buy a new luxury SUV car, I won't consider Lexus RX 350
anymore.
+Kevin Xu Totally agree that the 2016 RX is too extreme. Plus the usable cargo space in the 2016 is much too small. A far cry from the original RX300 which could carry large bulky items.
those antiquated light laws are held in place by the powerful lobbyists for
the American companies so they can continue making old technology & stay in
business. LEDs are cheaper & last longer than halogens. There is no real
reason why we shouldn't update the lighting laws. We the consumers will
make no change by writing to our congress.
it looked uncomfortable for you while you were looking at the camera from
the back seat...the sloping roof seemed like ti was forcing you to lean
pretty far forward. You didn;t mention this as you normally would.
Also, you say the MKX would be the second choice if you consider the 2.7
ecoboost engine.
Why?
The 2.7 MKX gives you 330 HP and 370 Lb torque...a ton more power...and
delivers 17/26/21 combined...for less money.
+paul pellico Yes, it blocks a little but the tinted rear window is in the right position to look out of. This was an abbreviated review because I had so little time with the car, there will be a full review later. According to Lincoln the 2.7L is tuned for premium in the MKX.
+Alex on Autos Well...trying to ask that if you sat back, would the roof line then be blocking your side view? Looks like it to me. This is what I was referring to. In other reviews you point this out. Not here. The 2.7 doesn't require premium, does it? My 3.5 ecoboost does not. I run with 91/93...but I am a performance knucklehead. Whenever I d run regular, I really cannot tell the difference, other than MPG...wich drops down quite a bit. Maybe 2 gallons per mile on ave.
+paul pellico I was only leaning forward so you could see my face in the video. The rear seats are comfortable and headroom is larger than the last model. I'm not sure what you mean by second choice? I said that until we get pricing we can't make direct comparisons. The MKX with the 2.7L turbo is likely to be about the same price as the RX 350 with the Lexus being a few hundred more. The RX's fuel economy is 10% better and doesn't require premium unleaded. The Lexus is also likely to be more reliable according to historic data. That said the MKX is more dynamic in the right version, faster, and has some features you don't find in the Lexus. Without pricing it is hard to say but I'd mainly say they were a tie in general.
+lupinearsenalALT The RX has always been targeted towards empty nesters. The ride in the RX has always been soft, quiet, and dull, and the vehicle itself is tiny on the inside, like a station wagon on stilts. The XC90 is much bigger, sportier, more expensive, and in a completely different class of vehicle.
