How do you apply the clinique foundation without it being unsanitary? do
you just cleanse the skin and then use the wand or do you have a different
technique?
I love your video, but I'm wondering, why do you have so few dark shades??
As a black girl, I've had makeup artists who don't care for darker skin
tones and don't have proper shades for me! Don't be that makeup artist, be
the one who loves all shades!
+Stephen Bailey Shut the fuck up...... I find you as a person Idiotic.. Yes I said that "AINT NOBODY GOT TIME TO BE BUYING EVERYBODY SKIN TONE" Bitch! Because it's true! The Fuck outta here lmaooo... Why the fuck would she be buying darker skin tones if she mostly does white women make-up shut yo "I wanna be a peacemaker" ass outta here tryna kiss darke skin women asses bitch please like my youtube username says..
+Stephen Bailey I agree. I'm trying to become a makeup artist, and I'm trying to buy foundations and concealers of ALL colours. I want to start young so that I have full ranges by the time I'm an adult!
I find it interesting and kind of silly that you interpret a makeup artist's lack of owning a dark shade as "not caring for darker shades". What? I DO agree artists should have 100% of what they need to be able to work with any possible skin tone... But why would you think they don't "care for those tones" or don't care for darker skinned tone people? I know what you're trying to say. Poor wording on your part I guess.
+MakeUp by Annalee Fair enough! Also, your thumbnail pic is gorgeous!!! Sorry if I came off as rude, I wasn't trying to be lol... I'm glad you have many shades! Maybe you'll be the next big makeup artist!!!
+TIGANA. lol as i said - this is just from a previous wedding where i was well aware of my clients skin tones. This is a small range of my foundation supply, I stock a wide range of shades that i interchange all the time depending on the occasion - you not aware of it but those doublewear tube are darker shades. So im NOT that makeup artist :)

You have the most organized case I've ever seen!!! Amazing, I love it. One
after my own heart. I've seen so many videos and its so overwhelming with
all the makeup most of these artists have that seems so unnecessary. Thank
you.
I have a question,
I have been freelancing for the pass 4 years and I wanted to change it up
with my train case, I had one that was nice and hard in the outside and I
would work out of it but now I changed to a clear set bag and I find it
that I have to pull out everything in and out.
Do you think you take long to put your things away when you have to go from
place to place?
I usually have about 2 or 3 gigs a day and I'm trying the clear case to see
if it will work because I want to get the zuca bag.
With my old one I would just close it and put anything I left out in a bag
I take my brushes in.
+Rissel Soliz Im so sorry my reply is so late.. I'm shit! I am doing an updated video with a new case as i got over the Zuca and having to have it so disorganised in the bags!
+Jose Castillo Junior I have problems with the cap breaking periodically.. just be gentle when your trying to take it off
MAC starter kit | Jaclyn Hill
Hey everybodyyy! Thanks for watching! I hope this helps you guys even though its another long video! let me know what you think and tell me your favorite mac ...
So, I just want to say something about MAC makeup. I don't fuck with their
foundations (any of them) and I definitely do not fuck with the concealers
(at all). But she's very right about Fix Plus. I think if you love makeup
and wear makeup often, you should get a bottle of it for sure. It will
change your life I kid you not. I also do love MAC lipsticks and lipliners,
maybe some of their eye shadows but I know there are way better ones out
there for cheaper even. But other than that I just don't think MAC is all
that.
+awessongs Definitly go for the Fix+. They have various sizes so if you just want to test it out then buy the smallest size and see what you think. I'm sure once you finish that bottle you'll be going back for more lol it's really a great product
+Caitlyn O'Brien Lol yeah i know she doesnt anymore! but she used too and with her knowledge of all things makeup im sure she could give bombass tips:)
+MakeupByCheryl Yeah I think so too... im not toooo good washing my own.. but working on building a kit.. I do use the beautyblender solid.. but will that be enougth sanitized.. (oh that sounds so bad when i saw it. Im sorry im dyslectic and norwegian so im better on pornonciation or how ever u spell it) the original BB is so damn expencive here so I use the RT one myself. But should I cave in and get a few for a kit
+Caroline Elven Skillebekk The same way you would clean them for yourself. Soap, heat/alcohol. If it's not clean enough for me, it's not clean enough for my clients :) I just don't use the same one on another client that day until I can get home and properly sanitize. I need more beauty blenders for that reason, but for now, I have backup sponges that I can just toss.

I would recommend choosing the NC shades starting with NC 15, then jump to
NC 30 and maybe do like the NC in the darkest shade and then any in between
that suit the clientelle you work with. I actually depotted mine and mixed
them together to create more shades in a new palette so I don't remember
what shades I have :( In the MUFE I have #110, #125, #153, #155. I used up
all of my #117 but am slowly phasing them out because I like nars sheer
glow better :)
First I'd like to say I think its so great and professional that you
respond to the many questions :) I would so love to be an apprentice for
you!! What type of camera do you use to to best show your makeup? I would
love to work at a cosmetics store but actually have a corporate job with
aspirations to become a makeup artist on the side. I would love to see the
products, colors you would best suggest for wedding makeup! You are
fabulous :)
hey, I stumbled on your video and really enjoyed it. it looks like you have
a great kit. iI'd like to ask you though, did you receive any formal
training to do bridal work? I'm a student who is getting a bachelors degree
but I've always loved make up and would like to do it on the sides. can you
offer any advice to improve my skills and be able to practice bridal make
up artistry? advice would be greatly appreciated :)
Love this video, I think you've picked out some great products. It's
obvious you are passionate about what you do as well. What would be your
number one piece of advice for someone who wants to get into this sort of
work? Also check out the new Urban Decay eye liner vault. You might not
find it useful but I just like it and think *want want want* hehe :) xx u
should do more videos when u get the chance
Hi Denia! Follow your dreams! I would suggest maybe working part time at a
cosmetics counter to get some experience.. it really does help! I don't
usually photograph my work, I only use my iphone. But I do contact
photographers that are photographing my clients for the photos to use on my
website :) You can follow me on instagram I always update my photos on
there! bristeinartistry on Instagram! :)
Hi! Where do you buy your Make Up Forever HD foundations? I got the
backstage card but it looks like you can only use it at certain locations
and they are all in California or New York and I don't live near any of
those states :( Are you able to get them at a pro discount or do you have
to pay full price? Thank you so much for the video!
I was tormented by cystic acne for many years. I used to hide away because
of the problem. I used every single nuts idea to be found. It didn’t fade.
Afterwards I got word of the Acne Executioner blog (Google it) and my
cystic acne went away. I enjoy looking at face in the mirror for the very
first time ever. It rocks.
My kit is probably valued at around $10,000+ this includes all my brushes,
airbrush compressor/gun, zuca and all the makeup. I would recommend getting
a job at Sephora or a makeup counter because the gratis is usually great
for building kits! Some of the products I have in my kit I've received for
free from work :)
I've always known I wanted to be a makeup artist, since I was 7 years old.
When I was aloud to wear and play with makeup I would do my friends makeup
at sleepovers and then got more serious with it in highschool in the 11th
and 12th grade! I'm 21 and have been doing makeup professionally for the
last 3.5 years :)
I work for Smashbox so I got them for free :P But you can get them at
Shoppers Drug Mart (in Canada) or Sephora...or the smashbox website! I
would suggest having the colours fair, light, light/medium, medium/dark.
But it all depends on the clients you'll be working on! I typically work on
fair-medium skintones.
Totally in awe! Love your z pallets and foundations!!! Starting my kit now
actually. Could you recommend single Mac eyeshadows to me that every artist
needs? I'm also curious how you decide which colors in a foundation to buy.
Some say buy every color others buy a darkest and lightest and call it
quits.
What do you mean? When you use disposable mascara wands- you take a new
wand and dip it into the mascara.. you do not re-dip it in. You throw it
away after it touches a client. Then if you need more you use another new
wand. If you don't double dip you are not contaminating the mascara.
Can you do a beginner video for Freelance makeup kits. Because when I get a
little older from now (im 14) I wanna start freelance and work my way to
being professionals and I cant get a lot of mac and makeup forever. Could
you like make a vid on how you got started?
I've been acquiring all this makeup for about 5 years, but obviously some
products need to be replaced after 6months to 2 years ish. I would say I
have approximately $10,000 invested. This includes all my brushes, bags,
airbrush compressor/gun, makeup etc.
I don't think one ONE foundation is good for bridal. It depends on the
brides skin type! But definitely stay away from mineral products and SPF. I
love the MUFE HD, Nars Sheerglow, MAC Full Coverage, Lancome Tient Idole
Ultra, Chanel pro lumiere etc. :)
If you were to put that entire kit together for someone, how much would it
cost? I will become an esthetician next fall and am considering everything
that would be needed for my kit but it looks like you could have $5000
worth of products in there....
Im 18 years old about to graduate high school and im planning to go to
beauty school for make up artistry however, do you have any tips on how to
start building my kit without breaking the bank? Btw you seem really
passionate about what you do :)
I don't buy but alot of mascara's either but how do you use one mascara
between clients, i know there are disposable mascara wands but wouldn't
have to use different mascara's for each client or is there a disinfectant
for the mascara it self?
Can you tell us which 6 colors of foundation you purchased in the mac creme
foundations, and the 5 MUFE HD foundations. I want the Mac creme foundation
but i'm really not sure which ones to get, and i've already started buying
MUFE! Thank you!
Im just now starting my professional kit, How did you go about doing that
in a cost efficient way?? I want to use great quality products but it is
hard to even really know where to start on making sure Im prepared for
everything.
