Thanks for this video. It brings back so many memories of home, although it
hadn't been that long ago since I was last there. The North End has so much
character because most of those older homes are still standing;some even
renovated and refurbished.
Im not from canada and im looking to go to cape breton university there and
would like to know where i could find a 1 bedroom apartment for rent in
sydney.
Great video. Looks like the Whitney Pier area. Good use of time: skating
and puck handling rather than planted in front of a screen. Good example
of how to deal with winter.
Hey there,
I work for CBC News. Mind if we post your video to our website and Facebook
page? Also, we'd love to talk to you. My name is Cassie, you can reach me

Seen these guys in Australia. not once but twice!
They are mad committed. One of the shows was about 10yrs ago when no one
knew much about them and they rocked that shit all night. Still one of the
best concerts I've ever been to. Prevail stage dived from the 2nd storey
off my back.
Cocaine and steroids, I don't get paranoid You are not a gangster, you're a
fuckin errand boy Werewolf warlord poet and a warrior Mad Child king,
Vancouver and Victoria
HI Stacy. Thanks so much for giving a shout to Frankie. We've come to
love his banter and saged adviced (stormchips!) I hope to see you this
summer in Nova Scotia and Mahone Bay isn't far from Halifax. Do you plan
on performing in Nova Scotia? If so, I would love to hear you sing and
play the piano. BTW, we call our hats "toques." Take care.
Haha! Thank you so much for the 'toques' lesson - it did throw me off when I first started hearing that word lol!. Yes, I perform quite a bit in the south shore. Mostly after-dinner concerts, where the restaurants and I develop a theme for the evening. Would be happy to have you!
I just realized the date of your video. You must've already spent your
summer in Nova Scotia? That's awesome, and I hope you had a wonderful time
enjoying all the beauty that Atlantic Canada has to offer. If/when you
return, give me a shout.
Thank you Heather - I did have a spectacular trip. So wonderful in fact, that I now call Mahone Bay home. I just couldn't leave this beautiful place, or these beautiful people. Hope you're enjoying snowmageddon…thanks to Frankie, we were all prepared ;)
there is certainly a whole lot of older buildings 0:45- 0:55 on both sides
of the streets....we have similar streets here but only in part cause some
of he older 1 & 2 story bldgs were taken down & new ones erected over the
decades, Richards st & other backstreets in the downtown area were loaded
down with these wood frame buildings...you'd never know it as now has there
is a huge multitude of high rise condos & shiny glassy buildings..one such
shiner is home to a very large Starbucks.
I once entertained the idea briefly of moving back to Sydney, but I
concluded that I would regret that because there isn't much along the lines
of work. There are people still living happy & productive lives there, but
they are sadly in the minority.
you certainly have your share of overhead wires...we have a similiar
problem here to io older Vancouver where trolley wires meet hydro wires
along with some tele wires can only lead to an eye sore.
It would be nice from a dream world perspective if everybody like myself
who left Sydney never had to leave there & there was plenty of opportunity
there, but the key phrase here is "dream world".
lol found this link only because im looking to take a cruise there in July
on the Carnival Glory. Wifes thiking this few stops will be boring compared
to the caribbean but to me, weve been there and done that, im sick of the
same old stuff every few months.
