Well I would best suggest purchasing a DSLR instead over this camera. The
GE X500 is just basically a quick camera to take photos and isnt well for
sport shots or fast moving objects. It dosent have a focus setting and I
suggest better of a DSLR where you have more options and have the ability
to catch any picture moving very fast. Also you have a various choice of
lenses to change into that can be taking a picture from far distances to
portrait pictures aswell. For your need, i recommend a
Well if you beginning with Photography you can start with a DSLR such as
Canon and Nikon. For Canon I would recommend the T2i or the T3i which are
both the same but different features that depend on you. For Nikon I
recommend either the D3200 or the D5100, Again it depend on what features
you need. DSLR's are more money but are worth it. But for the more of
budget but for great quality, for Canon I recommend the Powershot ELPH 110
HS. If you need any help feel free to message me!
DSLR such as the Canon 60D . For capturing pictures of horses, I would
suggest the 60D with a good zoom lens with IS which stabalizes the picture
so no blur happens. Research these cameras and look at what features you
think you might need, aswell look at the FPS(Frames per second) on the
cameras. DSLR's are great for any type of photography and take beautiful
shots in any situations. If you have any questions at all feel free to
message me anytime! Hope this Helps!
Sorry man. I had tried looking for a camera with remote control zoom but
they would cost way over than the price the GEX500 is. One camera that I do
recommend over this one around the same price with much better features and
specs is the Canon PowerShot ELPH 110 HS. Its not fish eye but wide angle
at 24mm. But zoomed in should give you a direct focus to your subject you
focus to. I highly recommend it.
Hi im sorry for the late reply due to some internet issues I had. This
camera does record HD which is in the settings but I wouldn't recommend it
because there are alot more cameras that are for the same price with much
more features. I recommend best looking at the Canon Powershot ELPH 110 HS
or 100 HS because they are better quality especially video at 1080p video
recording. Hope this helps!
Its alright! All what you need to do it just switch the dial to video mode
and then hit the record button which is the button to take pictures, if you
watch my video how to make the GE X500 videos HD in my channel it will show
you more about the video mode and what to do to make it better. Hope this
helps! If you have any questions at all feel free to message me!
I have never had this happen to me before, For how long was it working
before? If it wasn't the batteries it could maybe be a shorting or either a
system error. What i recommend is trying to use Alkaline Batteries,
sometimes the camera wont turn on because just normal batteries are not
strong enough, Hope this Helps!
Thanks man Ill have to check out the weight on it. I am looking for a good
cam to use on my FPV quadcopter for on-board quality vid footage. Right now
I am using a Nikon CoolPix S4100 (I think) but the shape of the cam makes
it hard to mount on my R/C aircraft Cam gimbal. Thank you for your help :)
I am going to buy one but I don't know that can this camera records video
HD (like 720p HD video or more)? I like this camera because it is cheap and
looks good but I just wonder about the video recording quality. Can you
answer me? Thank you so much,
I hvae this camera and when I try to turn it on a red light flashes and the
screen stays black. I've tried replacing the batteries and it doesn't seem
to work.Has this ever happened to you? Any Advice? Thank you for your time
:)
Hi. Im using this camera but it always says "battery exhausted" whenever i
turn it on even if my batteries are fully charged. What could be the
problem? Im using 4 AA rechargeable batteries. Thanks for any help!:-)
I wouldn't recommend the GE X500, 16 Mega Pixels is good but their are
other cameras that are much better, take better quality video and photos,
and also much more features for around the same price.
If you want to begin with photography I recommend better getting the Canon
PowerShot ELPH 100 HS. Also the GE X500 does not have manual focus. The
PowerShot takes much better quality photos!
Dont worry your not doing anything wrong! The camera has issues with
focusing when the zoom is too out. You just have to play around with the
settings. Its not you, its the camera.
cud u list a couple please??♥ im confused as to which cheap good quality
digital camera around this price range or cheaper to buy so I can start
making youtube videos!♥
It dosent really have a continuous shot but has a mode for about a
continuous shoot of 3 photos. Its dosent have a frame rate such as frames
per second like on a DSLR.

Filmmaking Tutorial: Buying a low budget video camera

I'm 19 and need a professional camcorder for recording a short documentary
for my degree. I currently have a budget of around £500 ($750) and I am
after the best possible camcorder I can get in this price range. A lot of
the MiniDV camcorders sell for relatively cheap now but then getting the
tape converted to a digital format is another problem to deal with. Any
suggestions? Thanks
+George Whitlow I have a Sony trv900 and a panasonic DVX 100b both miniDV and firewire into the PC and into Corel video Studio ultimate 7 ($50) But.... get a HD camera with a mic input like the Panasonic Lumix Fz200 or the Canon rebel 3ti (both have mic inputs and shoot 1080p HD). The cameras are lighter and produce better video so... why go with the older, heavier, DV tape units. They have many good features but wont do the job as easy as the newer cameras for shooting good video. If you still want a DV unit you'll need a firewire card to put into your pc to transfer. After the analog is transfered it becomes digital and can be edited digitally. Then it can be rendered and output to youtube or a DVD or put directly back to the camcorders tape deck (which is the best for me). I then run it into a DVD recorder and produce DVDs from the camcorders DV. For me its the fastest and best quality.
+MajorGamerGamez Use your cell phone ($40 - 5 MP 720p Alcatel), windows movie maker (free), and get a lavalier mic and make it into a boom mic and record into your laptop (you'll need that for editing also), get a $25 tripod and a cell phone adaptor to mount it ($5), oh and a $35 camera stabilizer. There your under budget and you can produce watchable entertainment.
Well. If you are looking for a camera it really depends on what you are doing. You can get some good cameras on Amazon for a bit over that maybe. But you really need to do research I hope this helped
Hahahaha 5000 is still a really large amount. You can get a decent first car or winter beater for that money. But I assume for that money you are doing something serious with film making so good luck
i am 14 and i am looking to start do product reviews and unboxings on
youtube i have a very cheap budget and i dont need anything super fancy.
does anyone have any suggestions of everything i will need to get started
+Dylan Fenech That's perfect, just grab a //www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/532521-GREY/Nikon_2176_18_55mm_f_3_5_5_6G_VR_AF_S.html That's not an FX lens (but I assume when you upgrade, you'll get better lens) :D and Microphone : //www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/699403-REG/Zoom_H1_H1_Ultra_Portable_Digital_Audio.html gl
+Dylan Fenech Honestly, There's a lot to choose from! Aside from the recommendations here, i would also consider a Panasonic G6, or a used GH2, both have a mic input which is critical, but do not have headphone ports, which while you could get away with, it's preferable to be able to monitor your audio. I like both those models also because they have a full swivel screen, which helps with checking your frame
+Dylan Fenech Get a DSLR... For $500 get a canon T3i with it's kit lens. for a little under $500. Don't forget if you will be shooting indoor, you'll probably need to invest money on lighting. One last thing is you'll need external audio
+Dylan Fenech Well the best I can come up with under $500 with a lens is the Nikon D3300 with the 18-55mm kit lens. Right under $500. Great camera for a beginner photographer and should also be great with videography. You can keep this camera and upgrade the lens later on down the line as you get a bigger budget. 11 Point AF. 24.2 MP. 1080p 60 FPS recording (progressive) should be enough for you to do a bit of slo-mo.
