Ok, I'll give it a go. I know girls that play games which makes you notice games aren't just for guys, but that's only an anecdote. However, we are seeing a trend of more women playing games (not an anecdote) and more women joining the industry. This leads me to assume that games were mainly sold as boys toys in the past (I'm assuming, but it's pretty clear it was), but is slowly evolving socially to be acceptable for girls too. It's not good to hear that 14% of women are in this industry when it's becoming clear games aren't only meant for men.I don't like the 92/8 split, because men feel they are forced to take on these harsh hurdles when they weren't made to do so. You can probably link that to higher male suicides.Quite frankly I didn't want to write an essay, but there you go.I've been kind enough to explore my feelings on the matter more. The fact you don't know that tells me you didn't listen and have a preconception about females in the gaming industry.I couldn't find any quotas for the UK where Access is based, but I did find that women make up 14% of the UK gaming workforce so if there is a quota it's ridiculously small (so it's very unlikely there is). That's a worrying statistic if you ask me, but there's no point arguing over that - we'll never agree.

You've come onto our channel where us four have worked incredibly hard to build and create what we have and challenged me, my place within this group and asked me to prove I deserve to be here because i'm female. It's incredibly upsetting that my hardwork and passion are challenged by something such as my gender. You dont have to like me as a person or a preseter but I'm here and I've got my other jobs within this industry because I love games and I work incredibly hard. I don't have to prove that I've played Metal Gear Solid, that I've owned a Sega console or that I play games for 15hrs straight.
