I got p0725 code on my accord 1996. Is it a hard job or pricey job ?

+Dictator Here is code description. Sounds more like bad Crankshaft Sensor://www.engine-codes.com/p0725.html

+Temachok would it be the transmission speed sensor or some other sensor ?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-f4f38XQ18U4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAA0/_3pnWJNRNkY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Dictator Cost me $50 for the sensor. The job was a little challenging, but I usually don't mind it. It might be different on Accord though. Looks like your sensor would be around $25://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&index=aps&keywords=honda%2037840-p0a-a01&linkCode=as2&tag=dp051-20&linkId=PHY7SXXOKOLGU52Z

Hey I do have a question. I recently chaned my cam and crank shaft sensors with OEM parts from Nissan themselves. After changing it, the startup is worse. I takes about 3 cranks to get it going now as opposed to before with the sensor it had only took one crank to start up. What else could be wrong? Those two are the only things I changed. The connector on both sensors clicked on and both are bolted on quite tight.

+Anthony Farve I'm thinking one of new sensors may be bad or wrong, wiring may be damaged somwhere or you may have a bigger problem related to ECM module.

Hi ! I had P0335 and P0725 codes on my son's 2003 Altima. Symptoms : longer than normal engine starts and sometimes even stalls while driving. My searches brought me on your video. Man, you are good ! Great clarity, lots of details and very accurate. Thank you so much ! It made the job (almost) easy.

+Sergio Castiglia Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful!

Thanks, good job! Couple things: you did not oil the o-ring?? And, how do you clean "check the engine" light??Thanks=)

+Eero Laukkanen Yea, missed that... To erace code - unplug battery connector.Or else, to do it properly, buy one of those OBD2 tools for $10-15 online://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&index=aps&keywords=OBD2%20code%20reader&linkCode=as2&tag=dp051-20&linkId=JT5YEW4ISB2ZLWTD

+Kevin Disroe Yes, it's recommended to change them both.If possible use original OEM parts.

Not all of these Nissan 2.5L engines are set up the same. My Crankshaft Position Sensor is located on the driver side of the engine (near the upper portion) and is easy to get at. The aftermarket part costs $65 CDN + tax in the Toronto area although you can order it via Ebay from China for $14 + duty + delivery (approx. $30).

+D Moreau Sorry, never had P0420. Can't help with that one.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-wH9xHIRUDT0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAD8/AZqUjW0H-_I/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Temachok I was finally able to remove the wire harness with a pair of long needle nosed locking pliers. Soon after replacing the sensor I now have a P0420 code regarding Catalyst System Efficiency.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-f4f38XQ18U4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAA0/_3pnWJNRNkY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+D Moreau I think it was from China. Be sure to buy genuine part. Aftermarket part didn't work well for me.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-wH9xHIRUDT0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAD8/AZqUjW0H-_I/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Temachok I meant where was the aftermarket sensor manufactured. The one you just referenced is a Nissan genuine part manufactured in Japan. The computer is now registering 2 codes.. P0335 & P0725 so I will have to buy another sensor to replace the one in your video.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-f4f38XQ18U4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAA0/_3pnWJNRNkY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+D Moreau I don't remember if it was from China or Mexico.I used this factory OEM sensor://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KBAQHII/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00KBAQHII&linkCode=as2&tag=dp051-20&linkId=ROQHJOYMTBV4K5YW
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-wH9xHIRUDT0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAD8/AZqUjW0H-_I/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Temachok I just looked at another video that shows replacement of both sensors. I must not have looked hard enough for the crankshaft sensor. The part is identical and the original is faulted.. the other video also stated there was a recall to replace that part although I know those are timely and most likely past due. I suppose if the car acts up again and the light comes back on I will have to buy another sensor & replace the one you describe here. Btw was the aftermarket part you bought from China? While looking for it I found parts made in China & Mexico.. I bought the one made in Mexico... hopefully it is not too long to cause an issue in the future.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-wH9xHIRUDT0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAD8/AZqUjW0H-_I/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Temachok The code from the computer was 0335 which is a crankshaft position sensor malfunction. I first telephoned the dealer who told me the camshaft & crankshaft sensor is the same sensor for this engine. I assumed he meant one in the same as opposed to identical part for both. I did not see any sensor in the place shown in your video (no wire lead to that place on the engine and nothing appeared to be there). I looked around the outside of the engine for a sensor that looked like the new one and I found it where I stated. After replacing it the warning light is off & the car starts and runs normally.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-f4f38XQ18U4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAA0/_3pnWJNRNkY/photo.jpg?sz=64
+D Moreau You are probably talking about Camshaft Position sensor according to your description...Both sensors look exactly the same.
