I think the song really seems like its about a girl. I understand the god idea, but the lyrics just don't seem to point that way in my opinion. It seems like a story of a guy who is in love with a girl but their not necessarily together, maybe cause he hasn't asked or she is unsure. He is "hanging by a moment" waiting for things to change, and he's "desperate for changing" cause he wants things to change and he's "letting go of all he held onto" cause he's changing himself as a person for the sake of getting her attention. As he spends more time with her he just falls more love with her, and he feels "theres nothing else to find" cause he found his true love and nothing "in the world" will change his mind about it. He's always wants the truth to know how she really feels and he always just chasing after her and then back to where he started, not really making progress. He doesn't know what he is "diving into" because this love has become an obsession that seems to not be getting solved. But he's gonna "stay there until (she) makes (him) move" meaning he won't give up until she tells him it will never happen maybe more then once. Thats what I think the song means at least to me haha it really shows the themes of remaining positive in seemingly hopeless situations and never giving up, especially on something as important as love.

Its hard to listen to if you ever loved or love someone that never will love you. Or if your not over someone that once loved you. Let me tell you. its pretty hard. A drop in the ocean is also pretty hard to listen to.

+Becka Rohwer Everyone interperets a song's meaning in their own ways. If the artist says the song is about "God", then that's what it means to them. If the song reminds someone else about past lovers, that's what it means to them. There are so many ways to interperet song meanings. :P
