Hey, this vid sold me on one. I cant wait for spring to try it out. If
you dont mind me asking, what are the settings you are running for kill
time and sensitivity? Thanks!
+Clint Bowman I run a Bazzaz Z-Fi QS on mine, awesome and durable system that allows individual gear adjustments. By far the best upgrade I've ever done to my bike. Been running it nearly every day for over 3 years now and still works flawlessly. It really all depends on what kind of riding you're doing and what your main use for the motorcycle is that will determine the best kill times. I personally use mine for commuting (usually between 5-9k RPM) so the cut times are going to be slightly shorter than if you're pounding the gears at the track where you'll want a slight increase to your cut times to compensate for the much larger difference in RPM and don't damage your transmission from the gears slamming together cause the bike is still trying to match revs. You can set it yourself fairly easy if you have a good feel for the changes. Basically, you want the most balanced cut time without the bike lurching too much (cut too long so bike is sitting without power) or gears banging/incomplete shifts (cut too short to achieve full change). These are, of course, my personal settings on a 2005 CBR600RR from my own trial and error. Use only as a guideline, no two bikes and riders are the same!Racetrack settings in ( ) with changes ranging from 12-14k RPM1st - 2nd 80ms (90)2nd - 3rd 70ms (75)3rd - 4th 55ms (60)4th - 5th 40ms (50)5th - 6th 30ms (40)Remember, the quickshifter is not shifting for you, it is only cutting the power at the coils to unload transmission to allow you to shift before power load returns. There is no clutch used so you need to give the bike enough time to match revs and fully engage next gear with the least amount of banging, slip or grinding as possible.
I have the pc and quickshifter removed as i now have an R1. It can be
plugged into your bike and away you go. Let me know if your interested?
Cheers dan
2011 HONDA CBR600RR BAZZAZ QS4 QUICKSHIFTER KN FILTER YOSHIMURA RS5 275kmh in the shed..(L/m)™
Just feeding a little gas on testing out my newly installed "Bazzaz QS4" quickshifter + KN filter setup. This is not full throttle as it just rev limits out every gear ...
That was about half way to red line. I didn't want to go to hard with just being on the rear stand and all. I have a full Yoshi on the bike right now. When I had the bike tuned my buddy said it was shooting fire while on the dyno, but this video was the first I've seen it. Pretty cool! Lol.
Those were fairly low revs as I did not want to go all out on just a rear stand. I will do some more testing once I can get out and do some city riding. I'll post another video soon!
I'm jealous! I can't wait to fully experience it. Im stuck trying to decide if I want to do GP shift too. Everyone that has it says when I do it I won't ever want to go back. Winter is too long!
Not yet, as I have not actually ridden it. It is a balmy 4 degrees here right now. Once it starts to warm up I will be able to get it out and try to get some more video too. From what I have seen, the default settings are pretty good out of the box though.
