+Felipe Bento Winnipeg is known as a relatively criminal city in Canada, but Canada by itself is NOT a high criminal country. I think to compare Winnipeg with Sao Paulo, Winnipeg is NOT a criminal city. It may be good idea to mention here that some cannadian towns have 0 or almost 0 serious crime.
+Winnipeg@Channel Haha ok. I live in Sao Paulo which is way bigger than Winnipeg and definitely not a safe city to live in. But overall, is Winnipeg okay for a family or not? I just don't get why many people complain about living there, seems pretty quiet it there.
What's up with Winnipeg , many people are like "I wish I could leave this
city ASAP" etc , I might move to Montreal , I'm not from Canada , I also
considered Winnipeg for a moment but , I think a very big city experience
will be better for my student life even though Winnipeg is a big city , it
seems to me that there are not a lot of things to do , maybe it's just a
feeling I don't know.
+Daniel Perr My friend from France says that people in Montreal speak such funny French that he listens this language on the radio show instead of comedians.
Thank you for your videos. Winnipeg looks like a nice city. My main concern
is a crime rate. Do you see any improvement in this area for the last 2-3
years? What the local Government does say about this major issue? What is a
root cause of such a high crime rate?
+Winnipeg@Channel OMG, 77 minutes? It is clear now why Winnipeg is called a "murder capital of Canada"... Winnipeg Police Force needs major changes. This should not be tolerated by the people of Winnipeg, they should demand major improvement in this area, the sooner the better.
Winnipeg is protected by the Winnipeg Police Service, which in 2012, had 1,442 police officers. In November 2013, the national police union reviewed the Winnipeg Police Force and found that it took an average of 77 minutes to respond to domestic assaults and assaults with a weapon. The Canadian Police Association president Tom Stamatakis even said, "the WPS is the only police force in the country that treats calls for assaults with a weapon and domestic assaults as minor incidents.", and went onto say, "What's even more shocking is the average response time to calls like that in Winnipeg is 77 minutes, if I phone 911 and say there's someone on my property with a knife and he's threatening to stab me... the average response time is 77 minutes.". The report also reported that it would take the police 26 to 51 minutes to respond to things like stabbings, shootings or child safety calls, whereas in other cities it might take 17 minutes.( //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law,_government,_and_crime_in_Winnipeg )
