Reminds us that China is still a Communist led country. Money is keeping them in power and money is keeping the populace quiet. When I think back to the days when we in the west watched with incredulity the crushing of the demonstration and the thousands of young lives that were lost - I still weep. amen. im a veteran myself. i've spoken to other veterans and most know the truth about our Govt as well as me. some more or less then others but they know. us veterans can reach the active military and teach them what we know to be truth if push ever comes to shove. we are the truth in living flesh.

Military systems block a lot of sites for security and to reduce bandwidth, but it doesn't stop service members from accessing them...they just use their own internet provider or WIFI spot. Military computer systems are for military work only, not private browsing. That is why streaming media sites are blocked. Your not getting paid to watch movies.

@soberauer I guess futurists just tend to get a bad-wrap. Any kind of long-term future prediction sounds crazy to 70% of the population, and when you apply a date to the prediction... e.g. "AI within 20 years"... now 90% of the population consider you crazy. China does not need to erase those memories but in fact should embrace them. The crackdown was a glorious chapter in Chinese history in which CIA funded democracy movements aimed at destabilizing China were foiled by the Chinese government
