of the greats before the merger era I saw MKT and MP as well as Santa Fe

The New Haven was my railroad. I was around to see the electric streamliner
and boxcabs and riding in the old heavy weight cars, traveling between
Grand Central and New Rochelle. I was so unhappy when the New Haven went
belly=up and then went to PennCentral and traveling on the old New Haven
line was terrible. So sad.
Glad you enjoyed the video Markus, I always say I was born during the wrong
time period..I world have loved to have been around when the steam
locomotive ruled the rails... I thought you would get a kick out of the
AFLAC Duck LOL...

Interesting that over in England, age 65 was tops for enginemen. Here, as
long as you passed eye/physical exam, etc you could go yrs past that.

NS employees call that railroad I am just glad I got to see the last of N&W
and the early forming of the NS

A geep 9 would be perfect for the road, rebuilt tracks, new bridges, hey,
this line isn't that much different than the W&N and they run B30-7's over
it! Great vid! 5*
Wife says I can make a loop around the property, my plan is to make a
couple sidings to haul firewood to fire pit and a service area with shed
for loco's and cars
Thanks. You can still build a small railroad on an acre. There are people around the world who have less than that and have small railways around their houses or a track from the garage to the street to move the trash to the curb and bring in firewood. You will need to be more creative with a small area, but it is doable.
