Hey, I was wondering if I could get some advice. So I want to upload some
covers but I'm really shy and don't like criticism (but who does really)
and you're amazing and if you have any tips/recommendations that'd be great
thanks :)
+Lauren D'Agostino Hi! First off thank you so much for the super kind comments and watching my vids! I'm no expert but I can certainly tell you some things I've learned. I think you just need to start with a microphone (blue yeti is a great starter usb microphone). An iphone is just fine to start with for recording too. About criticism, it's unfortunately impossible to prevent :( even the most incredible youtubers have viewers who are jealous, bitter or who honestly just don't like the person's content. If you go through my videos, there are plenty that have been absolutely ravaged with dislikes and hate comments by people who don't like my voice. But in all honesty, i know it's just an opinion they formed based on my voice, not who I am. That's how I don't let any hate affect me. Youtube can be a pretty savage community sometimes, haha. Just know that you're making covers for the love of singing and entertaining! :) Best of luck! Let me know if you upload anything, I'd be glad to check it out.
You are fantastic! You are really good and talented! Good job!! :) Ps: Can
you do some Pentatonix cover songs in the future, like their new album
self-titled "Pentatonix", or some Christmas songs, like their album "That's
Christmas To Me", it will be awesome! And.. don't think that i didn't see
your Pentatonix cover of "The First Noel"! I saw it, and it was so amazing
and beautiful, really beautiful!! :) ❤️
+PentatonixLyricsHD +PentatonixLyricsHD WOW thanks so much for all of the kind words! And yes, I'd love to cover something from their original album in the future! :)
iRacingTV Dev Blog // Rebuilding iRacing's User Experience
Our recent changes to the member's site layout in the latest build is a sign of many significant changes to come. We are very excited to show you a sneak peek of ...
Personally I was always a fan of the site being the launcher for the sim.
it felt.. "lighter?" Like, the only time I needed a bit full-screen
interface was when I was driving, which is true. Everything other than
driving is in one nice clean web interface. Gonna be a bummer to loose that
nice open UI
But the biggest thing is that modern browsers are designed to multitast. With a simple middle click I can open up another page to another part of the web site. I can have everything open at once for a very quick glance. I highly doubt that they're going to allow me to open 10 copies of the software so I can have everything at my fingertips, and if they did, I'm betting it wouldn't be nearly as efficient as a modern web browser
that's... somewhat true, but I don't necessarily feel it's all applicable. The browser has more than the game needs, but the browser is already open, becuase I'm using it all the time. So, to look into iRacing stuff doesn't require me to launch another app. Also, I can check in on everything iRacing without actually installing the program, which is nice when I'm on another machine.
2:50.
DUDE! WE'RE GETTING AN EAGLE TALON? HELLS YEA IRACING DELIVERS THE GOODS.
Cannot wait! With the new UI being CSS/Java, would it be possible for a 3rd
party to edit it? I imagine that could be something quite handy and
interesting considering many in the community could probably take advantage
of it.
Why are we still forced to use web interface through our browsers?
Its 2015 already.
Why do you cant make standalone launcher which will actually launch iracing
website (without any browser)? For example like Assetto corsa. Their menu
is basically HTML5 page, which then launch the actual game.
I dont want to use my browser. It is unhandy and performance demanding
Yeah. Watching the video that's what they're going to do. They're using a middleware to allow for the web designers to make uis IN sim. Specifically used the words "you would no longer be able to race from the browser"I'm actually disappointed. :/
Because I like being able to do other things while waiting for a race to start without having to use resources on a game or waiting for an additional resource to load up
When in the "SOON" is this coming! I can't wait. The current member site is
still a clunky mess of everything that's been added since the dawn of time.
To be fair the recent update did help with that. But this new direction is
exactly what I was hoping iRacing would do since I joined.
Great video and thanks for the insight on what has been going on behind the
scenes.
the project looks great, the UI looks great, I just don't know why decided
to get out of the web browser and more into the game. seems like a
backwards step. you just needed to streamline better the user experience
and change the design to a modern theme - like what you're doing - but
inside the browser and not inside the sim. that's my humble opinion.
I think the fact the web side of it is what keeps breaking when the big races occur. I think moving away from the browser is a great idea. Not just for stability reasons but the fact a lot of people have lower end systems that have performance issues with the browser having to be loaded, or so I've heard.
+3GM65D I'm a serious IR fan and member as well! but... I've driven Assetto Corsa and beeing completely honest. Except of hilarious racing (comunity) system, everything else (Sound, Physics, Graphics, and many details) are way, way ahead of Iracing. I do hope Iracing have somewhat of a patent to their system, otherwise slowly but surely Assetto is gonna eat it up. And again! I'm in Iracing daily for about 2 hours... And Ilove it!
+SpottingBananaWe actually already have that feature on iRacing.. and who even cares about Assetto Corsa since overall experience, structure and community is way better on iRacing. :P
