I am hoping to move to Western Washington. It is so beautiful there. I
currently live in Nor Calif (above the bay) and love it, but it's getting
overpopulated and expensive. I don't know that I would want to live in
Seattle, 99% sure i'd live in a city or small town nearby.
Seattle is getting overpopulated too especially with Amazon etc. all of the "small towns nearby" are actually neighborhoods and all of the Seattle neighborhoods are very expensive and competitive.
The carter south you go, the least expensive. If you want to stay centrally located within 8 miles of downtown Seattle (the center), then you'd pay like 1200-2000 for 1 bedroom. There's studios going for 1000 right now it's v expensive
Hey thanks for this video. I have been talking to my wife about potentially
moving up in that area. If I may ask are my odds of getting a decent job if
I have my bachelor's degree in business administration? I understand that's
a very general question but I was just wondering if a bachelor's degree is
good enough (I am also thinking about starting my masters). it's from an
online school but at least it's accredited. I currently live in tennessee
and can't tell you how much I prefer Washington state even though I haven't
been in several years.
+Eylbie ♡ I have to say that it depends. Portland is cheaper, but more of a suburban style city. It does have great transportation. Seattle is more expensive, big city vibe, very busy, constant development and construction, great paying jobs.
I've wanted to move for Seattle for years, but have read terrible things
about how even if you make 300,000 dollars a year you can still struggle
financially. There's no way I'd ever make that much, is it still possible
to live in Seattle? I'm in college but my profession is a mental health
technician, making around 35-45,000
Thanks for your insight and helpful tips. Me and the family will be moving
out that way summer 2016 and are very excited. I have been researching on
areas and we have decided on Maryville which is North of Seattle...
Wow Marysville is wayyy too far north and it's very white and kind of low income ghetto. You should love to Renton, it's more diverse, wayyy closer to Seattle, and has good schools plus more black people than other Seattle suburb. You'll never visit Seattle living in Marysville bcs it's just too far. And it's not developed at all, just a bunch of poor white meth heads and natives seeing as the tulalip casino is its biggest money maker
The Seattle freeze is real! People are very intelligent and competitive but sort of cliquish in their neighborhoods and zip codes. The closer to Seattle the better, and living north is better than south. You do need expert skills here, it's why I haven't been able to move up, bcs Seattle outsources talent which is why most people are transplants and not generational natives like you see elsewhere. It's hard to make friends meet people and network, bcs people don't want to help seeing as it's dog eat dog.
Okay thanks, but I've heard that the Job Opportunities in Seattle are really hard to get due to alot of competition and needing expert skills and degrees. I just want a place where I can bring down a comfortable salary, and not having a problem finding work.
+keithrig my next vid will be on Seattle freeze there's a lot to talk about on the subject and there are definitely more job opportunities in Seattle vs Atlanta.
