Good tips. Somehow employers don't realize that attracting candidates
(especially good, highly demanded ones) is similar to attracting new
clients! Meaning that if you set the deadline for a job application two
months from now, people are going to be less motivated to apply and the
perceived value of such employer will be lower than of another one with
shorter deadlines and clearer objectives.
It's been tested in general marketing many times: set the deadline for a
sale and you'll get the majority of orders in the last seven days, in some
cases in the last three days (flash sales).
Also a great point about describing an unrealistic demands with twenty
requirements - ridiculous.

Yes, this gentleman is correct. Different generation behaves and thinks
differently.
Don't try to use the previous generation thinking to impose on another
