Typically the built in speakers on a monitor are mediocre at best. If you want the full experience you really need to buy some after market speakers. I would recommend the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 computer speakers. They will cost you around $150 dollars but they are absolutely worth every penny. I've been using them for a few months now and they are really just amazing for the price. Very high quality. If you don't want to spend that much they have some cheaper ones at best buy for $20-$50.

Of course man! What you will need is an HDMI cable. You will connect one end of the HDMI cable to the monitor. The other end will be connected to the XBOX. Then you turn the XBOX on, and on the monitor, you will click the button next to the power button and keep clicking it until you get to the channel "HDMI". That's it, my friend. :)

No can do man \: But there are ways you can do it! There are plenty videos on YouTube explaining how. You just need to spend another $20-$50 on a converter. Take a search and type in "How to use HD PVR on HDMI Monitor" :) Hope I helped!

Yeah dude. You would have to purchase a component to HDMI converter. There are plenty of videos of it on YouTube. Just search up "Record HDMI with HD PVR". Just be careful when purchasing. Make sure it isn't "HDMI to Component" :)

That's what I have. The Xbox / Ps3 has to plugged in thru HDMI though, while the PC with DVI or VGA cables. And you can switch off by clicking the source button on the monitor which is the one to the left of power :)

Agreed. And knowing the fact that COD wasn't in the MLG bracket all year, and the year the BenQ was used. I still say this is nearly the same thing, but costs less, and a tad bit smaller.

Nope. This is a PC monitor, not a TV. The HDMI plug lets me plug anything HDMi to it. If you have a way of doing so with some sort of reciever, then you can. I personally, do not :)

In all honesty, I prefer this Asus because it costs nearly $50 less and the specs are exactly the same, besides the fact this one is an inch smaller.

You would need an HDMI in - Component Out convertor. There are plenty of videos of this on YouTube. How to Use HD PVR with HDMI. :)

No problem. Ps3 Goes to the monitor with HDMI cable. The Optical goes from Tritton Box to the back of the Ps3. Simple as that :)

I use the Astro A40 Headset. But, the monitor has speakers, so HDMI should do the trick.

They are decent speakers as you would hear on a TV. I'd suggest a gaming headset!

@p1epschu1m No.. I have no problems. The screen I use for my PS3 I also have my PC hooked up to it as well. The PS3 I use a HDMI cable and I just touch (since the "buttons" are not push buttons) the "Source" button whenever I need to switch between my PC and my PS3. My PS3 is just a plug and play with my monitor.

Hi, I just ordered the Asus VH238H .. the same monitor but it's LED BACKLIGHT (I'm just gonna assume they're going to be the same) My question is, did you calibrate the color either in the monitor menu or the mac system preferences to get the best color calibration when you plug your macbook in??? Or you just left it default because it was already great?

Hi I'm new to your videos and I have to say this was a great review. Very nice but I have one question. I saw that your mac was connected to the monitor, so is your console and Mac connected at the same time say VGA and HDMI or do you swap the cables each time? Thank You

I literally just bought this moniter off amazon like 5 min ago. I hope its good...Iv been playing on old tv's (the really heavy ones with the giant back) all my life and its not bad since im used to it, but hopefully this will be alot better.

you seem to love apple products, you should get a customac or hackintosh wich is a PC running mac os, some branded computers are compatible but ideally get someone who knows his stuff to do it custom
