59 Cents Campaign - Cards for Kenney

#1 You know (well, probably you don't) that postage to MPs is really NOT
FREE. Those "postage free" cards are handled by Canada Post, a taxpayer
funded service. Just like the "enhanced healthcare" previously provided to
bogus refugee claimants. No magic money tree. Paid for by taxes. You need
to get a full picture - maybe a little life experience, and perhaps start
paying serious property and income taxes.
#2 You don't like the government's debt load; you don't like that
immigration processing takes so long and is so complex. If you pay taxes,
you probably don't like that either. Handling, and processing and looking
after bogus refugee claimants drains available funding for refugees and
immigrants on many levels and bogs down the whole system, making it less
efficient and more expensive.
If somebody of you, individuals, want to finance refugee camps, please go
ahead and do so. It is your money after all. But the tax payers' money is
money of Canadians, us as a group, and have you even considered asking
Canadians whether we, in our majority, want to waste our money like that?
Spend your own salary on that, not mine!
I certainly DO have several friends who are legitimate refugees; also many
who are legitimate immigrants. My perspective is not based on ignorance,
misinformation, or lack of compassion. You might want to check your "facts"
from the media sources you rely on.
I am sure they are aware that postage is payed by taxes. Obviously that is
where the Government gets money to run, so that we can send them important
letters about how we feel. These are important letters about how many
people in Canada feel.
#3 Hard choices need to be made. The most vulnerable you are concerned
about - LEGITIMATE refugee claimants - are still very adequately cared for.
Look it up.
You can still send them "important letters about how you feel" and pay the
postage yourself ( it will cost more because of the weight of the coins).
Try it.
