+kobracom77 All of you should really google Samsung customer service , customer service scoreboard. Out of 2,771 comments, they have 2,645 negative, and only 126 positive. That's 95.45% negative. Some of the comments were mental
Samsung should have invested into a superior display technology for their
competition. Let's face it, LCD is dated at this point and has so many
issues that have to be masked with artificial processing or the display
being built a certain way which leads to other downsides to the picture or
performance just so they could fix one or few issues. There's no point for
them to make this their "new" technology as their flagship for this year
and is still using an LCD panel. OLED is the way to go. If I had around
$3,000 I'd go for the new LG OLEDs. I'm not sure about Sony, I don't even
think they're doing anything special for display technology this year. I
have to look more into their new TVs.
+darksparda4 Of course it is still raw technologyLCD pq probmlems >> OLED pq problemsThere are first reviews about this new SUHD. It got good score for colours. Thats it.LCD has been around forever, and it still has the same freaking problems. OLED is completely new with room to improve and mature.
+WolfyAmbassador The fact is all Samsung screens over saturate with contrast! And way too much tint.. Skin tones are awful on their TV's and other devices!I've nothing but trouble with Samsung TV's trying to get a natural looking picture as possible with the settings., Yes you can improve it with a bit of calibration but the underlying problem doesn't go away.Samsung are big in the tech world with great connectivity and features, But Picture quality is so forced and fake beyond belief all through their ranges.I've given up on them! For my next TV I bought a Sony set for the first time in years and I have to say the picture quality is Superior in comparison! I can't believe what I've missed out on lolOK the tech/connectivity side is not as good as Samsung, But that's all forgotten about now that I am enjoying a brilliantly crisp and natural picture.
+darksparda4 You make some very good points !! Plus I don't see why people would criticize a tv that has just been released a few months ago ??!!! People are dazzled with certain terms like "OLED" vs "tech A" vs "tech B"....but all those terms really don't mean squat. You judge a tv by the way it looks when you see it live in person. You do not judge it based on a simple tech term. Plus, you don't buy a tv for this so called "omg deeeeeeper blacks", you buy a new tv for a broader spectrum of brighter, more vivid colors.
You act like OLED doesn't have its own set of drawbacks. And let's not forget that Samsung did invest in OLED for a while but it was difficult to produce high enough yields. Even Sony who basically created the first OLED years ago has put it on hold. The only reason that LG can do OLED is because its not true OLED but is instead a type of hybrid which is why many review sites have stated that their TV's were not totally perfect, especially the EC9300 model.
Best comment in this video and i agree fully. Samsung dumping the better technology, trying to compete with OLED and advertising this "the best picture ever". We know that when average joe goes to store he is dazzled with that marketing phrase and choose this over OLED. Average joe doesnt care infinite contrast and perfect blacks when this is "the best picture ever." Genius move by Samsung with cheaper computer monitor technology. And that was the case of plasma, marketing wars. Still superior to LCD in picture quality. This is still just LCD= poorer motion, contrast, color accuracy, most importantly weaker black level. The only technology i am interested at the moment is OLED. Just have to wait till it is matured a bit more, before that i have absolutely no reason to change my plasma.
