2009 SEC Championship Alabama vs. Florida
The 2009 SEC Championship Game was played on December 5, 2009, in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, to determine the 2009 football champion of the ...
College football MAYBE and I emphasize maybe intentionally. College
quarterbacks are measured overall by what they do throughout their football
career including in the NFL which hasn't been stellar for Tebow thus far
and probably won't get much better given his situation unless he changes
positions. Look at Jason White you don't hear people saying he is the
greatest of all time anymore but the guy shatter college passing records.
Don't hold your breathe for that Greatest title for Tebow just yet
Ok, I know Alabama is good in college football and always was but Saban's
recruiting is messed up. He tried to give a 8th grader a schooler ship to
go and play for alabama. I get trying to get a 11 or 10th grader but thats
going way to far. Also, I still respect alabama and I love to see them play
because they kill every team but i am a Usc fan and I am even telling
alabama to watch out for OREGON. The ducks are very good and run up the
score and win! So watch out bama cause the ducks are coming
You can't prove anything you just said and no investigations have come to
that conclusion either. PEDs? You mean the deer antler BS? Please the NCAA
already cleared Alabama of any wrong doing there because analysis showed no
banned performance enhancing substances in the formula. And if you want to
rant about paying players go ask Auburn fans about Cam. If Bama players
were paid the NCAA would be all over it and you know it. You just cant
handle it that Alabama is better than your team. LOL
If Tebow's brief NFL career has been so great as you claim then why did the
team that drafted him dump him for an aging veteran pocket passer leaving
him as a backup QB behind Sanchez (another pocket passer) at the Jets. I
don't recollect too many benchwarmers ending up in the NFL hall of fame. So
again I say Tebow's NFL career thus far has been mediocre at best. Most
decent NFL quarterbacks can win some games and get to the playoffs now and
then but seriously get off the guys jock already.
2 well played games back to back 2008 and 2009. Both pulling off wins. Lots
of TD's Florida should have taken advantage of and red zones but they never
could. A dropped pass by David Nelson at the end as well as the
interception Tebow threw screwed up 2 of those TD's. Last year Alabama just
wasn't on their A-game as they were this game. Hats off to both teams, 2
very tough sec teams for the years of 2008 and 2009. Tebow picking up a
heisman and Ingram picking up the other.
This has been discussed often in the sports world. In theory it would have
worked. But remember, at that time we had Mike Schula at coach and our
offense was more reliant on the pass then it is now. Given Tebows passing
ability, I don't know that it would have been a good fit for us or Tebow.
We would have had to change our offense to accomodate Tebow's style. Could
we have done it as well as Florida? Maybe. But I think we were lucky to
McElroy instead.
You can rationalize it however you want. The fact is he is a backup at this
point. An exceedingly overpaid backup at that. There is no way around it.
So put away your faux NFL Hall of Fame ballot and tuck that Greatest
Quarterback of All Time title back in the closet where it belongs. He's not
the greatest thing since sliced bread. He's a mediocre NFL quarterback.
Give me one of the Manning brothers, Roethlisberger, or Drew Brees any day
over Tebow.
Well, maybe a little....But, no, not really... As a Tide fan, I DESPISED
Peyton Manning when he played at UT (for obvious reasons), BUT after he was
in the Pros, I didn't so much mind him anymore... THEN he turned out to be
an OK guy (as a person)....So, yeah, I HATED Tebow when he was trying to
beat Alabama while at UF, but I have rooted for him in NFL....
Dirty Program? As if there is any program out there that has some
questionable or unethical or illegal activity going on underneath the
table. You are just jealous kid. Get over it. Alabama is the king of
College Football. And until someone outdoes what they have done, they
always will be.
Stupid remark about the guy Alabama didn't want beats the guy they did
want. Screw Tebow. With all his antics and ball hogging he still lost.
Who's playing in the NFL? Practically that entire Alabama roster. Where's
Tebow? Oh that's right, he's a sports caster for the SEC network.
Yes most programs have kids who sell memorabilia or do some stupid shit but
there's a big difference between taking performance enhancing drugs and
paying players to go to your school which Saban does. Roll dirty program
roll!
Not with the weak offensive and defensive line you got. It will only take 1
quarter maybe 2 at the most for an SEC team to break that line down. Your
pretty boy QB would look better with turf in his face mask anyway.
Did anybody else noticed the names that were that mentioned in this game.
Tim Tebow
Greg McElroy
Aaron Hernandez
Riley Cooper
Julio Jones
Mark Ingram
Eddie Lacy was there
Trent Richardson
All drafted into the NFL.
how'bout purdue,iowa state,and washington state,most teams in the pac12
couldn't even beat our patsies.when you have the TOUGHEST teams in one
league there is nothing wrong with scheduling a couple of easy teams.
You know football season is getting close when the trolls come out from
under the bridge talking trash about the top dog. Didn't deserve it? The
score and the records say otherwise... LOL
the only reason that the broncos got rid of tebow is because they new that
he wanted playing time and just because he is not starting now doesnt mean
he will not start. its just offseason
just imagine for a moment if you will.........what if Tebow would have went
to Alabama (remember he was on the fence UA vs UF)? It would have probably
been the best team you've ever seen
The refs are getting annoying in college football today. After every
touchdown, they run up to the player to babysit them so they make sure they
don't celebrate too much. It's stupid.
