For anyone who is against helping Japan, or still upset over Pearl Harbor and see this as revenge-- if we don't help Japan, we will all suffer. If their nuclear plants turn into a meltdown, and radioactive materials are released in the air, we can all be harmed. If we leave Japan's economy in shambles, millions of people around the world will lose money if they have any investments, and Japan makes a lot of materials and products for the world. So, we need to help Japan. Keep strong Japan!!!

@759759youtuification your lack of intelligence is stifiling. you are really worried about the whales? dont even get me started. the reason as to why you are wondering why we help other countries is simple, but yet not so simple. we could not move on and advance in whatever we are doing (i dont get into politics) if we didn't have the support in these other countries. for example: agricultural resources and im to tired to think of anything else. but if we shelter ourself we are doomed. :)

Obama is the only person that actually tries to not make USA look like a complete arse to the rest of the world like it does on all other accounts. People are now actually complaining about Obamas support to Japan and bringing up PEARL HARBOR as an argument. 2000 dead, USA bombed 2 entire cities 4 years later and killed more than 200.000 people, and you wonder why nobody like USA? @mwm695: a) I don't recall Japan aiding us during Katrina, nor do I recall any assistance after 9/11. b) Obama refused FEMA aid to people in OK, OH, CT, TX during catastrophic events, taxpayers who simply needed their own tax dollars in a time of need. c) We have a record number of Americans on food stamps & families losing their homes. d) Japan is self-sufficient & we're broke. the united states had always help people in need, they also go in and help people not in need.....create chaos and then go rebuilt for them.....so why is everyone complaining about the help in japan.....i would think that japan's economy would effect us a lot n it would hurt us not to help a modern world ...unlike third world countries

the US has always help people in need...they even help people not in need...create chaos and then rebuild for them....i would say, japan's economy would effect us directly so helping japan wouldnt be a bad idea people....it's not like helping or destroying a third world country and then spending all our assets helping them

@mwm695 thank you. i love people who complain about us helping other countries, because these are the exact same people who would be up in arms if nobody helped us. i mean i agree our country has its own things that need working on, and help with. however we weren't just struck with a debilitating natural disaster.
