is that a magnaflow exhaust?

1968 firebird 350 getting prepped for the summer.

350 with XE256 cam, two barrel, long tube headers, and dual exhaust.

I have the original heads #17s I think... I should be running 9.2 CR. All depends on your compression ratio. too small a cam and you'll ping.

well I have both cams on the shelf and a 71 leMans I'm putting a rebuilt 350 short block into. I got the cams and this engine so cheap I decided against a 400 or 455. It has a stock like mild cam I'm pulling out and can't decide which cam to put in. I've got about the same rear gears as you but wondering what heads you have on your engine? Compression is low with on most of these 350's so I was planning on putting some 670 heads on to raise CR.

I got the car that way, so not sure about the differences. Never thought about it. I put a 4 barrel on it and changed rear gears to 3.42 posi. I was hoping for better performance. Not sure what the issue is with the engine, it barely breaks into the 15s. 461 with roller cam is going in soon.

Did you do a full manual valve body? Just never heard it shift auto. Sounds like tires scratch when manually downshifting too. Very Nice BTW!

hey man! I have a 91 with a 305 tbi as well, I scopped it up on craigslist over the summer with only 30,000 original miles. I love it and have huge plans for it. I noticed your from illinois and maybe even near chicago? love to meet up and cruise during the summer sometime, planning on putting a 350 in mine after I get it built up!
