@thepatweir Uh fuck yes it matters! Bell has a monopoly on fast upload speeds in Canada. Every other internet provider is SLOW AS HELL. Trust me, I examined my options. And, I don't bundle my services at all. I know how to shop around, Bell happens to be the ONLY provider in Canada that has what I want. If I wanted this download speed on Rogers, I'd have to also buy Rogers cable to get it. And, Rogers doesn't have the upload speed Bell has on any plan. Some people care about the speed.

Also, running telephone cords through a window does not meet CSA requrements on Bell`s part. If the fuckers try to charge you the $99.00 on your bill that`s for lines that were working and gave problems later. You`re not supposed to pay that when the technician fucked it up when setting it up for you in the first place. They are supposed to drill where necessary for the customer who ordered a brand new service. Keep at them and don`t let them get away with your money. Good luck!

@cosworth2009 If ANYONE had said that to me I would have gladly obtained written permission from my landlord to drill in the home, however when on the phone with them I actually ASKED if I would need permission from my landlord, to which they replied that I would not. After the various attempted drillings I spoke to DOZENS of Bell phone correspondents, even someone at their executive offices, and the guys who came to drill the holes. Nobody said anything to that effect, ever.

OK, so you call the company and 3 different people (techs) come out and yet after all 3 do no extra work or drilling. Then you have to come to the conclusion your landlord has NOT given the company authorization to drill through private property. If you get a letter from your landlord stating the company has the authorization to DRILL then your problem would have been resolved long time ago. This is the problem when people don't use their brains and communicate properly.

I had horrible experience with bell. They just hire a bunch of sweet-voiced slaves, who just sit there to sweet talk you into "there is nothing we can do about it - just suck it up" type of crap. I cancelled my services, and I had three calls from them offering me all sorts of "package deals"(pft!). I told them to stop calling me, that I had made my decision, guess what I heard - "But everyone deserves a chance, you are our valued customer" - HA HA HA HA!!! EFF OFF!

Bell has the worst cell phone customer service I have ever experienced, wait times on hold are about 20 - 30 minutes when you are calling about a problem with your account. To speak with a supervisor it is standard practice to have them call you back in 2- 3 hours!!! Thats ridiculous! They want you off the phone and off their customer service line which is costing them money. BOYCOTT BELL I'm switching to WIND!

Oh god I know how you feel. 1) they sent my internet box to the wrong address 2) my cell phone broke so I went to buy a replacement phone and the activation code on the box was different from the one on the actual product. Me and the guy at wal-mart were on the phone for half an hour with tech support cause they wanted me to get a new contract and wouldn't just switch the new phone on to a contract.

@baglady999 YES!! Bell constantly tells me something and then refuses to honour it!!! It's so ridiculous! They record the conversations so they can use your words against you, but you can't remind them of anything they said to YOU! My advice is to actually record the next conversation you have with them. That way you can show them exactly what they said.

Canadian cell phone and internet connection companies suck ass in general. I've had internet from so many shitty ISPs that I've basically given up on it. It almost takes me 3 mins to do a google search at times and I have a constant 3, occasional 4 bar internet signal. This is the extent that my "high speed" internet service is capable of.

There is no real monopoly over internet there's plenty of providers to choose from, just because bell bundles cell phones and internet still makes having their package 10X more expensive than just doing a little bit of shopping and paying 2 bills instead of one. It's amazing how narrow minded some people can be.

I had that same problem with bell. I fixed it by switching to Rogers. LOL Actually I used to work for Bell Canada & I got the same complaints every single day. This is the reason why I don`t work there anymore! I couldn`t stand ripping off innocent customers just to make the company another dollar, they`re shit!

@dmncau Rogers internet does not offer fast enough upload speeds which I need for video uploading, and they don't offer 25mbps download speeds unless I buy their digital cable which I have no use for as I can watch TV in HD online.
