+daminmancejin - A.J. here - I couldn't disagree more. The animation is below average for Genesis standards, and the narrative's nonsensical and poorly translated. It's definitely one of the worst games I've ever played. However, admittedly, I have played worse. Slaughter Sport comes to mind. Hahaha!
+Tony Vane A.J. here - Hahaha! Didn't realize so many folks were passionate about this game. Seriously it's not the worst game ever on Genesis, though I feel it's one of the worst I've played. Like I said, I'd say Slaughter Sport was worse than Last Battle. Pit Fighter was "meh", I agree.
+daminmancejin That you had fun playing the game, does not mean it can't be a bad game. I'd rate the game at average for what i can see, I have not played it at all, but i still want to. Pit Fighter looks way worse, though...It's not the best game for the Genesis, but certainly not the worst either!
This kinda game takes a very long time to get use to.I got far in Last Battle before. But i never beat the game before...Hey by the way sub to me when you get a chance....
Thanks, man. You rock! That game was so fuckin' bad. Amazes me it got made.

My Life with SEGA - Flashback: The Quest for Identity
This is largely considered one of the best cinematic platformers ever made, along with Prince of Persia and Another World. It had one of the most ambitious ...
10 months later and I'm finally playing through the original PC/DOS version
of Fade to Black , I'm having a blast with it. Even though it's vastly
different, it still feels like a flashback game. Controls are awkward at
first (especially since it's keyboard based) but after the first level, I
got it down. I also love the PC's flat polygon graphics compared to the
PS1's texture mapping. The Virtua Fighter-ish models fit it line with
Flashback's vector cutscenes to further connect the two games.
Out of This World to this day is one of my favorite games of all time, and
possibly the first example of art-game I have ever encountered. I have
first beat it when I was about 9, and the ending tore me up quite bad. It's
set up so amazingly - I believe I actually cried (not gonna spoil in case
even one person will play the game after this). Thankfully - I didn't know
about the SegaCD sequel at the time, as that actually cheapens the first
game quite a bit.
A.J. here - Hahaha! Thank you. So long as I have some free time, I'll
respond. I mean, I like talking about videogames. Why not respond? I've
noticed how some folks won't take the time out to comment on their videos
and - I know that they have personal lives and all - but this isn't exactly
the most time consuming thing in the world. Then again, I'm small fish. It
may get worse as time goes by. Hehe.
A.J. here - Oh yeah, I had it for PlayStation soon after it came out. It
was a good game, with a story that remained true to the original, but I
remember the controls feeling kind of stiff and it just felt weird playing
in a 3D environment. I'd like to give it another try, but SEGA get's first
dibs on whatever cabbage I may have left once I've paid my bills and
outstanding fines. LOL!
A.J. here - I'm not sure what you mean by, "it looks a little confused."
The SEGA CD version isn't any better really. I mean, yes, the cinematics
look better and there's a CD quality soundtrack. Those changes aside, it's
the same game. Getting ahold of the SEGA CD version is a bit more expensive
as well. If you're a collector though, I'd still wanna' own both copies.
This has nothing to do with the video but I like how you actually respond
to people's comments every video. I can't even count the number of times I
ask a question on a video and the douchebag can't be bothered to respond
with a simple 'yes' or 'no'. Keep up the good videos. Also do you plan to
look at Mega Man the Wily Wars for the Genesis?
A.J. here - I'd love to, actually. Like you pointed out, they are kinda'
pricey, so I'll have to wait a bit before I can really branch out. So many
games and so many of 'em are expensive, like Panzer Dragoon Saga, Phantasy
Star , etc. On top of that, I'm working on having the Game Gear modified so
I can play 'em on my TV.
A.J. here - I fucking suck at Out of this World. It took me 3 tries to
figure I had to start pressing the 'action' button as soon as my character
appears in the pool. I've never gotten past the first stage. It's one of
the reasons I haven't reviewed it yet.
A.J., have you ever played the sequel Fade to Black for PC and Playstation?
A Saturn version was planned, but cancelled. I never played it myself,
however watching gameplay footage of it online, it does look interesting.
Great review, btw. Nice work!
A.J. here - Thanks, man. So was I, bro. Simply amazing. I'm still taken
with 'em. I needed to get the hang of the controls. They were bit more
sophisticated than what I was used to at that time. The 'mouth' icon was
strange, wasn't it? Hahaha!
Bigtime agree that this (along with Heart of the Alien) was in a league of
its own and that theme music is mega-memorable. Awesome stuff that would
still be fun today. I remember being in that jungle for what seemed like
FOREVER!
Killer Instinct was Nintendo's own game (made by Rare and published by the
big N along with Midway). After the MK debacle, there was no way they were
going to censor a game that much again on the SNES.
A.J. here - I did. In fact, my response to that is below. Have you ever
played Out of the World? I just picked that up again recently. FUCK, I
forgot how fucking hard that game could be.
A.J. here - Oh I know. I just felt like being a douche. It happens from
time to time....especially once I get to the alien planet in Flashback. So
fucking hard. *bangs head against desk*
There's actually a remake of this game coming out soon for xbox 360 and
ps3, developed by the studio that brought you wait for it...AMY on xbla and
psn, a broken horror game.
Do you plan to imprt the JAP or PAL games (which are very expensive) or a
reproduction for NTSC consoles? I think it would be cool to look at the
SEGA channel exclusives.
A.J. here - Oh, there are some complicated moments. It's not as confusing
and frustrating as Out of this World. God, I love that game, but it drives
me fucking insane.
I have to admit after watching this video that game has captured my
attention... but it looks a little confused mmm maybe I pick up the Sega CD
version one of this days
