Great intro title, Mr. Clark. This film is from July 4, 1938. (See Robbins Bros tour dates) More circus info, "In 1938, Adkins and Terrell put out a smaller second show they called Robbins Bros. Circus. Some of the wagons that had been on the Fred Buchanan show ended up on the 1938 version..." The Grand is showing The Shining Hour with Joan Crawford and "unwanted attentions of a farmhand."

Isn't marvelous that people took these films and others present them for us to see a short glimpse of time at a particular moment in history. The teenagers flocking to see the "Circus Train" not knowing that in a few years their youth would be lost in a world war and the changing landscape of their cities as time moves forward...Thanks for sharing.....
