That guy has balls for doing what he did. He did do the wrong thing in
terms of his own safety but I'm glad that everything worked out. Sadly
things don't always work out this way all the time. Priority is your
safety, then consider what you can do for the casualty. If the car blows
and you get burned then you won't be able to do anything to help and will
also mean the ambulance staff cannot concentrate on one person. Regardless,
I have respect for anyone that would do something like that.

Ok this is a show about life-saving and such. I don't think her sexual
orientation meant anything. yes it was obvious that by referring to her as
"close" friend amongst other things that the woman was probably "gay" But
hey thats the way it worked back then. And it had nothing to do with
accident or anything else. So who cares. Just glad things turned out the
way they did :)

I guess that is one reason I like this show: it restores my faith in
mankind to see how many good people are willing to help in an emergency.
From that conflagration, it really took a set to go get into the wreckage
and pull her out ! And how do they get these re-enactments so realistic ?
Some of them must have been pretty high-budget to re-create.

It happened in real life where I work and it WASN'T pretty. I won't say
anything further because I doubt a general audience could handle knowing
what it looked like. But I WILL say it happened while he was trying to send
a text message. I swear on a stack of bibles I CAN'T understand why people
continue to send text messages while driving.

@NDW85 you would be amazed how easy it is to fall asleep at the wheel one
of my jobs is in transportation and we get in SO much trouble if the boss
finds out we are driving tired. he was a truck driver for years himself and
saw what driving tired can do to people behind such a fast piece of
machinery.

@amez4life I agree totally with you. While I don't approve of gays or
lesbians, I would have saved this woman reguardless of who she was if I
came upon the crash. I remember years ago on Captain Kangaroo when he said,
"Treat other people the way you want to be treated". and I always remember
that.

Exactly! And what difference does it make if she's a lesbian or not? What
matters is that she's alive. I swear, some people today have become so
overly critical about the sexual orientation, race, and other little
tidbits of a person that they don't get to see the real them.

everyone should watch rescue 911 and see what happends when thay drank and
drive or all thing that happends all the time in the USA I wish people in

yesterday on my way back from dance , i was in my convertible with my mum
driving. we were down on trafalgar (oakville) and the car went out of
control and it flipped. i broke two ribs. i got out of the hospital today.

wow.Had a couple of close calls with falling asleep myself.Luckily I woke
up,when the tires started hobbling over the shoulder.One rest area awake
and ready to drive 200 more miles,20 minutes later eyelids made of lead and
nowhere to pull over...

I drive tractor trailer and I certainly don't want this to happen. I have
seen cars go right into the rear of the trailers and nothing left of the
car. This truck driver did everything right stopping the rig straight. It's
not his fault at all.

Im glad I'm not the only one who calls people on the anniversary of their
accidents. My friend took a really bad fall which bonded us for life. I
call him on the anniversary of his accident to wish him a happy anniversary.
