60 SECONDS : A SKYDIVE DOCUMENTARY
"60 SECONDS" profiles the lives of skydivers in Dubai. Their lives are built around the love of the sky while experiencing the greatest adrenaline rush.
+francis laugo when you pack a main parachute and you did not ensure the lines were in the center. one line was tossed over the main and due to the sq/ft of the chute it tossed him into a spin and was forced to cut away. a rather common error among new packers or complacent ones.
Anyone know what a good skydiving parachute would be for a beginner? I'm a
parachute rigger in the army and have only done static line jumps but want
to start skydiving
+Sam Saiyan Not sure if they will count towards skydiving because if I'm correct, you use a round canopy? Don't think that counts here in the UK, not sure if the same is true in the US. Go to your local drop zone and they will help you out. Safe landings!
+Sam Saiyan Go to your local USPA DZ training center, and talk with them. Your military jumps may count towards your license/progression, and the instructors will be able to give you the best advice on gear.
thank you thank you thank you. ive been tossing it around and i am in no hurry. i used to be on fire for wingsuit base jumping but to be honest with myself is that wayyy to far away for a person like myself or anybody else for that matter. as a matter of fact when i mentioned wingsuit flying last year at my local dropzone, my instructor at the time popped his head up and looked at me in disgust like i just ran over his cat. so i realize and now know one thing about watching and considering once i start jumping again i know ill completely forget about proximity flying which is to far fetched as of now and probably will never do. im learning its all about flying your body. also diving straight into all the safety aspects which i believe can never stop as a skydiver or air sports in general. wow i can sure ramble on cant i. i know the areas in my life that will have to stop and ill have to sacrifice in order to become a skydiver. i just need to do like you say and.... DO IT! QUIT TALKING ABOUT IT AND "DIVE" IN AND DONT LOOK BACK! want to say good luck to you and maybe in the near future ill pop back in and see how your doing. i heard a jumper once say before he went up said... "its all about everyone else in the air when im flying." KEEP CHARGING YOUR DREAM MY INTERNET FRIEND.
+John Lawson I've just started, and the first thing my instructor said after my first solo jump was, if you are not willing to sacrifice the money and your time, don't skydive. Do it! I am also nervous but I am fully committed to it now and I don't regret it. Safe landings! :)
Well....unfortunately I work in an industry affected by (barrel of oil prices) and its been tough. Also...I have a question and I need some feed back. We don't know each other but this is technology and I love it that I can talk to people all over the world. Ive done three tandems. I started my aff but backed out at the last minute. Some girl on the load before me on her third aff jump spun uncontrollably and she did recover but it jolted her and I said naw I'll wait. So anyways I do nothing but think about it and watch videos. I'm tired of watching videos. My question is this and I'll probably answer my own question but I need to sacrifice and just do it. Put my finances toward it and nothing else. Is this what you do?
