In KOP back in 2001 when the new Pavilion wing is open, there is an elevator with some glass on the door almost like this one, but in 2006, the glasses were removed and the door was completely replaced with conventional door.

No. That sounds a lot like my UT Austin Sutton Hall elevator video, and that noise is derived from the Montgomery Elevator Company.

Actually, the Payne elevator sounds a lot like a Montgomery elevator, but they were two separate companies.

Thank You. These elevators were built stupidly as Lake Michigan is only 1 block away. They should have used traction. Not hydraulic. I also like the red indicator.

This elevator only has 4 floors available. The new one has the 5th floor as well.
